I was in a horrible car accident that was not my fault and they gave me next to nothing! They wouldn't even cover money I was losing for not working!! Worst company ever!! Now I have major injuries that I will have to pay out of pocket the rest of my life!

20+ years with Bear River, no claims. Received a notification earlier that deductibles were going up but nothing about rates until I get my statement for 2024 to find a 33% rate increase? For auto and home?.. Time to start shopping.

After 30+ years of auto coverage with clean driving records, we received an $800 increase in cost as our reward. Called to speak with an agent and get the "inflation" excuse and basically "take it or leave it". Extremely Disappointed to say the least!

Wow, over 20 years with them, now coming to a quick end. Used to be great rates but now it's a joke for just a "cut rate insurance Co". And yeah, the increases are the case everywhere, but our home insurance just jumped 120% and the auto now has a $2500 deductible up from $1K, as well as the premium increase. That's absurd! And today, we get a letter that our auto insurance is being terminated in a month as adult child owns the vehicle, ...huh? (one of 5 vehicles). They must not realize that adult children are living with parents more than ever. I used to refer friends & fam there but no longer. Obviously, its just the opposite now. All good BR, I've already T'd up to go to a better insurer for $2K+ less annually with lower deductibles and higher limits of coverage. So thanks...I guess. Good luck with the onslaught of lost biz com'n with those practices.

Please read entire review and also Bear River... Thanks!! Amazing customer service. Helped turn a negative situation (car wreck) into the best case scenario considering other driver didnt have insurance. It was such a delight to work with a professional group who cared for us and made sure our needs were met. I would highly recommend Bear River Mutual to anyone looking into great insurance at great rates and deal with very friendly and professional staff. After they deserve a zero. My wife and I hit by uninsured driver. My wife has broken ribs and I have a serious concussion. They originally stated $7,000-$7,500 in damage then got to shop where they did a tear apart estimate and body shop found lot more damage. They had them come to shop to review damage with shop and they dont want to fix everything. Now 28 days of my 30 day car rental days are up and no end in sight. I wont have a car and zero answers from my adjuster. Very frustrating and stressful... we pay for uninsured motorist in our policy and are getting treated like crap... very unfortunate. So I recommend not rating them until all is said and done because they want you to believe they care but bottom line it's all about money to them not customer service. Body shop just called...remember we haven't had a car for 5 days and now air bag light is on and he said that Bear River doesnt want to cover anything else.. we pay a high premium for uninsured so if they made the mistake by not totalling our vehicle that's their fault but they need to fix it and fix it right... our car will never be the same even with the amazing work from body shop. So after all said and done they made it right!! It was a headache but they made it right!! Thank you George!!
