In response to the owners response: When performing a brake service, we replace pads and calipers every time and either resurface or replace rotors per the manufacturer's specifications. We do this because the new brake pad and the old rotor surfaces will not match properly and can increase your braking distance. How very convenient that your policy allows you to perform additional services that also allow you to charge three times as much as what is necessary Heaven forbid that if I were to break at the exact same pressure at the exact same speed in a break distance test, my breaking distance may be increased by a foot. Good thing I break according to how much indeed to break to stop where I need to stop. Do you know what happens if pads dont match up perfectly to the surface of the rotor? The pad wears down so that it matches then surface of the rotor! New edit (Mar, 2024), to show how bad this place is: A few months ago my wife took her car in because the breaks were squeaking. The technician claimed the breaks still had life in them and didnt need to be replaced yet. Yesterday my wife had an oil change (not as Les Schwab) and they told her that her breaks needed to be done. No problem, we dropped the car off at Schwab last night so they could repair them today since we already had a quote on the breaks. They call and tell us the quote was only for the front tires and the back ones are much worse. Uh so you mean when we asked you to look at the breaks you only looked at the front? The cost to do the breaks was $1,100!!! For breaks!!! The rotors for the front and back had to be redone. How could that be when just a few months ago the breaks were fine?? This means either they are willfully negligent, or they purposefully told us they were fine so that the rotors would get damaged in the hopes we would take our car to them since we had a quote, and they could charge us extra (to the tune of $400) in labor since the rotors also needed resurfacing. Enjoy your $1,100 Schwab. This is the last time my three car family will ever use you again. Original review: Two years ago I bought some tires with their 60k warranty here. 20k miles later of mostly city driving they were baled. I went in today to get them replaced and asked about the warranty. He said they would look into it when they put on the new tires. So I dropped my car off and left. A few hours later they called to say it was done. My wife answers and asked about the warranty on the old ones. The guy said he didnt know anything about it. Every time Ive purchased tires from here they mention the warranty. How could he not know anything about a warranty as an employee? Whatever, she paid over the phone and we went and got the car. I also paid $30 for the siping. After going to the gas station of even out the tire pressure (they didnt get that right) I got home and checked the tires. No siping. So now I either get to call back and argue about getting a refund (which they will probably demand to verify) or I take it in again and waste several hours of my day so they can do something they should have done the first time. Edit: I spent yesterday and today trying to get the air pressure on my tires even. I only had the front two replaced but they didnt even bother checking the pressure on the back two, which was low. I would think that kind of thing would be a courtesy. But what I realized was that they swapped the tire pressure censors in the front tires so they read on the wrong tire on my gauge. I thought I was letting air out of one that they over pressured but I was actually letting air out of the under pressured one. Last time they did my tires when I had all four done they mixed up the sensors then too. Every modern car has these sensors. How do they not know the importance of putting the correct sponsor in the correct tire?!! Last time I had to buy a device to reset it off of Amazon. Looks like Ill be resetting them again.

I can't say enough good things about Keith. He helped get me the tire/wheel combo that fit my needs and budget, and introduced me to a line I hadn't found while researching online. He answered all of my questions and couldn't have been more helpful. Will be back for sure!

We are sorry to hear you feel this way, Kori. When we inspected your wife's brakes in October 2023, we measured the front and rear brake pads at 4mm which did not require replacement at that time. Exceptional service and quality are important to us, and we perform complete brake services to ensure your brakes are functioning like new ones. When performing a brake service, we replace pads and calipers every time and either resurface or replace rotors per the manufacturer's specifications. We do this because the new brake pad and the old rotor surfaces will not match properly and can increase your braking distance. If you have any questions or concerns about your purchase or our recommendations, please don't hesitate to ask. We would be happy to discuss this with you. Regarding your previous edits, it is disheartening we let you down in the past with your tire services, warranty communication, and sensors. If you are still having trouble with any of the services you received at Les Schwab, please talk to the store manager for a resolution. We strive to ensure our customers are treated with world-class customer service and quality and if we make a mistake, we would appreciate the opportunity to make it right. -Kylee
