In my opinion its all about the money. Billed $40 for a missed Virtual Appointment .Well, Doc..delete my files and information. Ill take my business elsewhere. There are plenty of doctors in Houston that will be more concerned of keeping customers happy than being concerned of lining their pockets.

Dr. Kahney has been my physician for > 10 years and I never recall a bad experience with him. He's always friendly, ready to listen and does his very best to address the concerns I have. Even with issues that I have brought on myself (such as overweight), he is diplomatic in trying to help me address. He's a great doctor from my perspective.

Takes a while to get an appointment. Rude receptionist that probably has neck pain from the way she looks at patients and bad posture.
Nursing staff never answered my voicemail prior to appointment (3 days). Asking if I should take medication until they could see me.
I arrived to the appointment 20 minutes early and it took 50 minutes of waiting to be seen.
Doctor Kahney seemed to be in a hurry and rude. Didnt fully listen to what I had to say about my symptoms. Did not want to run any tests or schedule future ones. Just gave me antibiotics that are worsening my condition. I agree with his plan but run some test and make the time worth for everyone. In conclusion, they make me wait, dont listen or care about the patient, dont run any test to see if there is something important they might reveal.
Also, the nurse that got me into the doctors office was rude. She had a very loud voice and looked angry. Sounded like she was screaming at me even though the room is tiny. Get some hearing aid if you need it, lady. Maybe she was a cop before being a nurse
Update: 1/1 called back to schedule tests and ask about a follow up. They dont have an appointment until 1/6 or 1/27 they should have scheduled a follow up a week from when they saw me to see how the medication worked and if anything else needs to be done.
Im disappointed. Ive been going here with another doctor since I was a kid (2009). I understand maybe they are too busy (didnt seem like it when I went) but if that is the case the least they can do is have the receptionist or nursing staff refer you to a different place.

I went to see Scott Kahney and its a HARD PASS. I would not recommend anyone see this deranged *aggressive* individual. If you want to feel like you are in a court house and youre being investigated go to this health care professional. Otherwise stay away. He is really sassy and unhelpful.
His visit felt nothing like any doctors appointment I have ever went to and I have been to several healthcare providers across the country (I travel a lot).
I went for an annual physical. No changes. No health concerns. This man was trying to change everything and kept insisting Im a smoker and do drugs.
I am a healthcare professional and I have several master degrees with a 4.0 GPA and this man has the audacity to insinuate I smoke tobacco when I have NEVER done drinking, drugs, or used tobacco products in my LIFE. My job routinely does drug tests for their employees. This has NEVER been a concern for myself or my place of employment. Or anyone but him. This is a VOLUNTARY annual physical. Not something mandated by anyone but myself
When I requested that this man refill my routine blood pressure medication he was like you want MEEEE to fill this???. Um. Yeah. Duh. Lol this man is CRAZY.
He was also extremely pushy about getting vaccinated. Which I do every year anyways. But I opted to go to my local pharmacy because he was trying to talk about billing services for an annual physical (NO health concerns) on the diagnostic side of insurance vs the wellness and preventative side.
He also had the audacity to say this isnt some visit you get for FREEEE every year
I did not know me paying insurance premiums on a biweekly basis equates to free healthcare visits. Nothing is free. And my healthcare is not government sponsored
There were so many OTHER crazy statements this man made that sealed the deal on me ever seeing him again. It will NEVER happen.
He really believes that he is our ONLY option. The only reason I chose him was because he had a first available appointment. HE is not special or sought out by me personally. He is utterly insignificant to me and he is replaceable. He had ONE job. Thats it. But as a man he came with so much sassy aggressive energy Jeez.
He is not patient centered, hes accusatory, sassy, not helpful, aggressive, discriminatory, judgmental Everything you DO NOT WANT in a healthcare provider. I personally would not trust him to improve my health.
