Olympus Auburn lakes apartment is the worst apartment ever and the property management is Down right terrible. The company is the worst. We had our door fixed recently and yet I was stuck outside of my door for over an hour (at night with my groceries) till the 24 hr maintenance came (after my boyfriend called completely upset). Despite me calling before he did and I hadn’t gotten a response. They came to check the door Yet they still didn’t fix or nor how to fix it besides hitting the door and telling me “ to kick down the door”. If this happens again I will not be responsible for any damages since the apartment maintenance told me I can. And if I do get charged we will go to court with my company lawyer. Please please please DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME NOR YOUR MONEY HERE I’ve seen people move out months after being here. Multiple people that live here will NOT BE RENEWING OUR LEASES!!!! P.S - Olympus management needs give me non-generic half answer. Actually fix the problems. Living here is the worst , I rather live back on 1960 again , at least my old apartment maintenance and staff did their job correctly unlike Olympus Auburn lakes an apparent “Luxury Apartment”. We always get lied to by one of the lease consultants (Vanessa) that works at Olympus Auburn lakes.

The walls are paper thin. My ceiling fan and pendant lights rattle from my upstairs neighbor. Parking is the worst. Not enough spots. The only available parking is across the complex and/ or in an unlit area near the back fence.

** UPDATE SINCE PREVIOUS REVIEW I recently learned neither management nor the maintenance staff is onsite during the weekend. Maintenance is only on call for emergencies (which is hit or miss. Please see previous review regarding my AC outage in late May that was ignored for nearly 12 hours after 13 calls/voicemails). I’ve had an extremely simple service request open since June 16th to reinstall a ball and spring in both my laundry doors that secure the door shut. They’re not “true” doors that have a knob that twist - you pull and push the doors and they pop in a little groove at the top. I’ve checked in on this service 3 separate times WITH THE MANAGER and it has yet to be corrected. The cherry on top was this past Friday June 25th at 5:28pm, I received an automated email from OAL that my service was completed. 1) the service description was inaccurate. They push for us to send these request in ourselves online but with all my recent issues, I called in and had them set it up personally so I knew for a fact OAL had laid eyes on my request. 2) I was home all day excluding 2 hours and did not have a single come by 3) I have a Ring Doorbell installed and it confirmed nobody came by while I was gone. 4) the office closes at 6pm daily. ***NOT ONLY DID THE MAINTENANCE CREW LIE, they did it 30 minutes till close on a Friday knowing there was nothing we could do about it. Obviously enraged and outright disrespected, the following day I emailed twice then I called the office demanding this was handled by the end of the day. That’s when I discovered the maintenance crew wasn’t on site and there was no way to get them there since there isn’t an “emergency”. I actually found that out the second time I called. The first time Vanessa told me she’d call them and see what was going on and try to get them there - I specified I needed her to call me back after she spoke to them. I waited an hour and a half before calling back and that’s when she informed me she emailed me explaining they couldn’t come. Their explanation then was “ I am certain there must be a miscommunication.” Here it is, 10 am Monday and nobody has reached out to me regarding this. OAL has turned a small service issue into a much bigger issue. The staff at OAL is unreliable, inconsistent, lairs.

**I’ve been a resident here for 4 1/2 years and do NOT recommend it.** The complex itself is beautiful - there’s two pools, a large pond with a track around it, a “bark park”, a pet grooming room, two gyms, and a flex area near the back pool. The units are also equipped with modern appliances, vinyl/tile/carpet, and granite countertops in both the kitchen and bathroom(s). If customer service is important to you, that’s where this community lacks in every aspect. Since my initial move in 2017, the community has undergone new ownership (formally named Alexan Auburn Lakes) and numerous managers. Since COVID I have been working from home. My AC went out AGAIN late May 2021 (first time was in May 2020. It took a week to repair and I had a window unit that could only keep my bedroom “cool”). It was an hour after the main office closed so I had to call the after hours line. It took 3 calls and 1 hour later to get an answer. I was instructed to restart my own breaker and call back in an hour if it still doesn’t work. An hour later, my 3rd floor apartment is now 80 degrees and the AC is still out. I called 13 times, left 13 voicemails, created 2 service tickets online between 8:30pm - 7:30am before ANY representative acknowledged me again. The maintenance manager answered with annoyance and proceeded to tel me it would be an hour before he’d be at apartment because he needed to shower and drive to the complex. I was already fired up over the situation; on top of that, I had to stay at a relatives over night then come back early in the morning and work in my hot apartment for several hours. While the crew worked on the AC they explained what the issue was and how they planned to correct it which was nice and informative. However, he made at least a dozen comments how he wouldn’t of been able to fix it the night before had he come which was unprofessional and flat out rude. I understood he may not of been able to fix it then BUT it was the fact I was outright ignored for nearly 12 hours. At least provide me with a window unit for the night. Afterwards the office NEVER reached out and apologized or even acknowledged what had happened. They closed out the open orders as complete and that was it. Summer 2020 had a severe lightning storm that actually struck my building and fried some electronics. My modem, alarm system, and one of units censures. I have have been trying since then to have my alarm fixed - over one year and 4 separate maintenance visits and countless vague excuses later it’s still not fixed. Currently I’m waiting to have my laundry doors fixed. I called in the service and checked on it several days later and still nobody has come by. Today’s been a week for a simple correction needed to keep the doors shut and it has been completely dismissed. I have to put a dog collar around the handles to keep them shut since they’re at a angle behind my entrance door. Calling the front office is the worst and frankly pointless. Not only do you hear in the staffs voice you’re inconveniencing them, you have to hold their hand from start to finish and accept it is now YOUR responsibility to monitor any and all open request with them. There is absolutely zero check ins or follow ups. Once they hang up the phone, that conversation and everything discussed within it no longer exist. It wasn’t until I took a survey that was sent to each residents email did I hear from a manager. I’ve taken these surveys in the past but this was the first that I had nothing nice to say. I voiced my disappointment and frustration only to receive a generic “apology” and empty promise it wouldn’t happen again. That was several days ago and immediately my next maintenance issue (laundry doors) is ignored. I’ve paid roughly $1,100 a month for my 3rd floor one bedroom apartment for 4 1/2 years, I expect some sort of urgency and customer service. Since 2020, OAL has consistently declined. I recommend checking out one of the dozen surrounding communities.
