Quick .. Good.. bad.. ugly review Ugly.. check in.. man .. I was checking in a couple of hours before 3pm and they were going to charge me an additional fee, I understand the 3pm rule but at least let me drop off my stuff. Channel selection was poor Bad.. no breakfast.. due to covid? Come on.. other motels offer coffee and drinks now (I know there's a coffeemaker in the room but it's not enough) Good.. now we get to the good stuff.. price was affordable, room service was perfect, beds were comfortable, no insects, no loud noise, excellent parking area and my vehicle was safe, you are close to everything and AC was good. Ice maker worked great and management answered all my calls. In essence, you get an affordable motel with affordable services. It is clear that this motel can improve in certain areas but that doesn't make it a bad motel. I'll be back just don't try to charge me extra for checking in early

This was our second time staying at this hotel last year was okay this year I can say the bed was very comfortable and clean there was no bed bug residue as I checked the mattresses before settling in, we got the room with the jacuzzi the knobs were broken it did not work they only have one room with a jacuzzi and its first come first serve, the TV was not functioning properly more than 22 stations had no sound the other ones was either in Spanish or it had commentary along with the show , we let the lady and the office know that we were having problems with the television even told her the station they had their TV on there in the lobby our TV we had the picture but no sound maintenance man came up rebooted the television left out TV still didn't work we got barged in on three different times twice by the housekeeper once by the maintenance they don't knock before entering had my husband and I've been doing something we would have been interrupted I let the lady in the lobby know again that the television still was not working properly she said the maintenance guy was there she was going to let him know that it still wasn't working we went back out came back in television was on, no remote, we let the guy that was on the night shift in the lobby working know what was going on he had no idea when he came on his shift so he gave us a remote he said he wasn't sure if it would work but we could try it that remote didn't work so I didn't even waste my time saying anything else because the problem was not resolved the continental breakfast was a joke all they had was dry cereal so mini dry chocolate donuts mini powdered donuts and Waffles that was it and coffee my husband and myself frequent South Padre Island but we will not be coming to this establishment ever again I didn't expect it to be a five-star Hotel but since we were nice and polite and the lady remembered us from last year I figured they would at least be more accommodating but not so much, so I won't be wasting our time when we return we will go someplace else.
