Living at The Forum at Lincoln Heights continues to be great. Shelley Bunce is the main reason I am here and can always count on her for a big hug! If I need anything, I know where she is. Count your blessings Forum. You have got a winner with Shelley!

The Sales and Marketing Directors were most helpful in getting me settled in my new "home." My fellow residents are friendly and helpful as well. I can't ask for a more convenient location. The Forum seems to near or accessible to everywhere I need to go.

My father was in the skilled nursing home. The care was woefully inadequate. He was provided a defective wheelchair and sustained broken vertebrae. The staff was composed of a few licensed staff and various assistants who were not qualified. Our family removed him from the facility and found out that he had more time to improve when he received the proper treatment. My father was a dentist who even with a brain tumor and dementia, far surpassed the owners in intelligence and compassion. I thought this was the worst place in the world.

This is primarily a review of memory care. See Yelp review for details/pictures. As a geropsychologist myself, I cannot imagine how The Forum thinks they are doing anything but warehousing patients. My fathers clothing had constant food spills; his glasses were not given to him most days; meds were administered incorrectly; he lost clothing and towels despite the clear labels; his face and clothes had food on them after meals; no activities that I saw engaged the patients (mostly a circle of patients sleeping in wheelchairs while being lectured on some topic or other); feces on bathroom floor for hours despite requests to clean; father being called a good boy by unit director. Had to ask specifically for showers. Independent living was generally good but memory care is awful.

Mary, I am the Executive Director and would like to speak with you when you have a moment. Our community does not offer skilled nursing services and looking back through our records for a few years we do not see your name nor an incident that matches your description. As such I would like to understand when your father might have been a resident at The Forum at Lincoln Heights and hear more details about that experience. Please contact me at (210) 824-2314 when you have time to chat. Regards, Boyd.

Teresa, I am the Executive Director and was disappointed to read your feedback on father's experience in our memory care neighborhood. We strive to always exceed the expectations of our residents and their families, and I am sorry that was not true in your case. We will use this feedback in our efforts to always improve the service we provide. We wish your parents the best in their new setting, and please contact me if I can be of assistance going forward. Regards, Boyd.
