New Forest Haven

Very nice rehab center but the kitchen is absolute mess with no leadership. Make a few mistakes and you get yelled at rather than just asking to grab the correct item. Took time off for my mother's death and apparently took too long. Anyways, long story short if you're looking for a cook job I don't recommend this place whatsoever. Rarely see the chef so you're just kinda winging it most of the time.

I can only speak great things about new forest its created great opportunities mainly as a an employee of 4 months the joy amongst our seniors are always great, the energy and hard workmanship is always present from all of our staff members. We make things work regardless of any circumstance.

Really nice senior living home love the residents here really fun and an active place to work for. I sometimes wake up in the morning to get here to see some of the smiles on they face

My mother has lived here for several years now. She has had a problem with roaches for over a year so obviously that is an issue. They have been without proper kitchen staff including I believe a cook for a while now too. The residents are being fed box lunches & the dining room is closed. The residents not only have to pick up their own meals from the dining room, but they are also charged I believe it's a $7 fee to pick up their food. Their food to being with is not healthy for people with problems with diabetes or salt restricted diets. My mother buys most of her own food for this reason. She has asked if she can not be charged for meals since she can't eat most of the food they serve. She was told that they have salads & that she will be charged for meals. Who doesn't want salad for 3 meals a day? Their "housekeeping " is very minimal. Her neighbor, that she spends most of her time with at their place, has a place on their floor that has a broken spot that is a falling hazard. It's very sad that these people pay a ridiculous amount of money for what they get. I thought that these kind of places required regular pest control etc. There's not a lot of assisting going on at this "assisted living" place.
