VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS COMPANY: I made an appointment a month ago to get an estimate for crawlspace insulation. They said they would provide a ballpark estimate in advance and verify when they came out. I did not receive any estimate, and they no-showed the appointment. I called to inquire if they were still coming and was told they switched to a new database appointment system but that someone would call me. No one called me. And I took the day off for this - what a waste of time. 10 Nov 2023 update: Company says I have the wrong company and I should remove this review. I suppose I imagined it all: seeing you at the San Antonio Home Show, giving you my contact info, being contacted the following week by Steve, booking an appointment for 9 Nov with Steve, and being stood-up on 9 Nov. I can see how you don't manage to book any crawlspace insulation jobs when you don't show up to your appointments. BTW, Steve did contact me yesterday (after I submitted the initial review) - Apparently his answering service got my inquiry (checking on if anyone was coming to give me an estimate) wrong and told him I was interested in employment there.

This review is for the Spray Foam Genie franchise located in San Antonio. Its not a reflection of the other franchises in other states. My experience with Spray Foam Genie was less than stellar. It was a combination of my interactions with Steve Edwards (estimator) and Nathan Harmon (salesman/manager?). Im not sure what Nathans role is but if I had dealt with Steve alone it would have been a done deal. First interaction with Nathan was positive. It led to my first meeting with Steve. Steve was pleasant from the get-go. He was a gentleman and I liked him immediately. I only wish Steve had a faster response time in text. Steve sent us numerous quotes making adjustments along the way to pricing and correcting my address. Everything was moving along fine. Nathan decided he needed to call me and be in his full pushy salesman form. Huge turn off from the start of this call and his What do I need to do to make this deal happen approach. The tone changed from that point forward. I asked for reviews and information on the company to assure that I was working with a reputable company. Apparently thats not something you ask a person like Nathan. I dont think Nathan is able to see the situation from the customers perspective. When I asked if a warranty was included with the workmanship, he stated a certificate stating the job was done a certain way (not necessarily, stating it was done the right way) would be included upon completion of the project. He sent me a PDF of an example of a job and this certificate. It honestly meant little to nothing as a customer. He said that he could later add a warranty and it was no big deal. If this is no big deal, why not do it for all your customers? This is the language of a possible customer. A certificate does not mean a whole lot to me as a customer. I think this was a prime example of how Nathan was not able to see it from a perspective other than his own and his need to close the deal. After the warranty discussion he said, I dont think were going to be getting your business, but Ill go ahead and send out a new quote for you anyway. Pretty unprofessional in my opinion and simply not a nice thing to say. I wish Nathan had taken a moment to look at the situation from any other perspective than his own. After all, we were having LOTS of trouble even finalizing the contract approval part online because there were some glitches on the companys end. It wasnt my fault I had to attempt to sign and pay the approval form online electronically and it failed 4+ times. For him to question my hesitation up to this point was just an A-hole move. Even if my experience with Nathan was negative, Id still go with Spray Foam Genie if they had an option to work with another salesman/manager in my area.

Eddie - we have no record of any contact with you about any project. And while our business can perform crawl space insulation we have yet to do so nor do we have any pending requests for any projects of this type here in the San Antonio market. I think you have submitted a review for the wrong company. Please remove this review.

UPDATE Oct 2023: Nathan is no longer employed by our company. Original response: Thank you for sharing your perspective on the experience you had with our local team Christopher. I’ve spoken with both Steve & Nathan and it seems like we were not the right fit for your project from early on. They did their best to accommodate your requests. Sorry this didn’t work out.
