Wayback Burgers

Went to eat around 1:00 p.m. although there were not many people here, there was a bit of a wait. There were only two people working in the restaurant. The cashier and the cook The chicken sandwich was really good, but they ran out of fries. Mind you, this was 1:00 p.m. and they were out of fries. When I asked if I would receive a refund, I was told I guess if you want one. Customer service was not so great. This is the second time I've dined here. The food is good, customer service and wait time not good.

We decided to sit on the patio. The tables were strung together with a cable to keep theives from stealing them. After sitting at a table, I got up to go inside, but hadn't noticed the cable to my left was off the ground and as I stepped out, it tripped me. Fortunately, I didn't fall into the wall but it was very painful and left bruises on both legs. Management did not correct the situation after we brought it to their attention. There's more to tell but I'll leave it here.

This place has done down hill, the food took 30 mins of wait time and not worth a wait. The burger patty was raw and the seasonings on the onion rings tasted old. Employees were rude, no good service, unprofessional.

Wayback Burgers in San Antonio Texas... Absolutely phenomenal burgers!!! I almost ordered french fries but decided on onion rings cuz it had been a while since I had onion rings. OMG!! I swear to you, I have had millions of onion rings in my life and these were the best I've ever had!!! When I bit into EACH onion ring... Not one onion pulled out!! That's a perfect onion ring! So many Burger choices, I chose the Classic...de-freaking-licious!!! My granddaughter was with me, she's 20, she had the crispy chicken burger and chili cheese tots... de-freaking-licious!! We both had a soda. The milkshakes that were on the menu and there were pictures of them, OMGoodness, they look absolutely delicious. A big giant burger like that and a huge order of onion rings, I didn't need to shake to go with all that lol. Cute quaint little place. The two cooks that were cooking you can actually stand there at the window around them and watch them cook, I didn't though lol. Everything is cooked to order and comes out nice and hot to the table. Shakes are a little pricey but I understand why at least by the looks of them lol. I treated my granddaughter to our meal because she always treats me . For both of us, I cashed at at 30 bucks even. It was worth every single penny!! Oh, and this was both of ours first time there. I'll definitely go back!!

This was our first time trying Wayback and will be our last!! We ordered through Favor for dinner. We ordered a Big Easy, 3 double bacon cheese burgers, 2 regular fry, 2 Cajun tots, 2 fried pickles, and 2 cheese curds. 2 of the Double Bacon Cheeseburgers came with ABSOLUTELY NO BACON! We did not get the order of the cheese curds. We did not get one of the orders of fried pickles. My son took a couple of bites of his burger and complained it tasted funny or bad, and he threw it in the trash. My other son complained about his Cajun tots tasting like old Tony Chachere's seasoning and pickle juice and said his burger could have been better. I tried a couple of bites of my burger and fries, and it didn't taste right/ good, and I threw mine in the trash. My wife tried calling to complain but was put on hold for a while and then when she did speak to someone she was told there was no manager available and they would have to call back....This was a Tuesday evening at 6pm. Once my wife finished with her conversation, she was so upset that we had thrown out our food because of the taste and now her food was cold, she threw hers out also because she didn't want to chance her food tasting bad. The poorly prepared food, the lack of attention to detail on our order and missing items, and communication with the restaurant and management was a profound disappointment. We are still waiting for a manager to call back so we can discuss this issue and refund our meal. Update to previous review on 05 March 2024. Now it is 02 April 2024. I followed the instructions provided in the response and emailed the franchise and explained in detail what was wrong and submitted it. I received a standard reply that they are thankful for my response and feedback and they will forward it to the franchise owner. All I can say is the franchise owner obviously does not care about the customer and has not made a single attempt to contact me even though I provided multiple ways to contact me to discuss this. There was no attempt to even try and rectify the poor experience. I don't understand how people still frequent this establishment with all the bad reviews that I have read through already. For every good review it seems there are 2-3 bad reviews. Once again, waiting for management or someone from corporate offices to actually contact me to see how they deal with this whole fiasco.
