The Retreat at Goose Island

The apartment complex was damaged during Hurricane Harvey. The rebuilding process has been steady since then but there is still a lot of work to be done. The rentable apartments are in good condition. This is an older complex so the size of the apartments is probably better than average. We have a friend who is renting an apartment at this complex. The management has been so kind and worked with her on a few unusual circumstances to help her qualify to live there. The management has an exterminator so any bugs we have seen are dead or almost dead. The apartment was freshly painted and cleaned before our friend moved in. This place is quiet. The other tenants, so far, are quiet and have been a pleasure to meet. The apartments have garages available but some of them are being worked on at this time. The siding on the apartments needs to be power washed and cleaned but thats not a deal breaker. Overall, by my observation, these apartments provide plenty of room, are basic and rent for a price that is comproble to other apartments in Rockport. The management listens and takes care of any problems or concerns. They are located in Lamar, several miles from Walmart or other businesses. The trade offs are the pond views from every apartment and the quiet atmosphere.
