Im giving 2 stars instead of 1 because over 10 years ago Dr. Jensen helped get me a beautiful smile, but coming back was a disaster. I have no issues with Dr. Jensen, but his staff really disappointed me, and Ill find someone else who wants to listen and help me. TLDR: rude, didnt listen, don't give you time I came back because I noticed two of my teeth were moving. Who ever took me to the back was extremely rude and I almost didn't want to return after the first day. I explained that my teeth were moving, despite consistent retainer use, and that I wasnt sure if it was the retainer or what causing it, and inquired about possibly even using a permanent wire to stop it from moving more. Then the lady said so what are you here for, with such a nasty attitude I was shocked. I was her first patient at 8am so maybe she was grumpy. I had to explain that I was here so they could help stop them from moving more and maybe even fix it even if it was minor. At one point I described how I had an extra thick retainer made meant to stop grinding, and the lady was very condescending that it was called a Night Guard, and how I had a night guard not a retainer. Im sorry I do not know the proper terminology but you get the point. They told me to come back and bring my night guard so they could check it, which is fine, but didnt answer anything else. I did not feel welcome or listened to. I was in there for maybe 2 minutes and they didn't answer a single question. I shouldve taken that experience as my red flag to not come back. The next day I was running a bit late to my appointment and let them know beforehand. Running late is defintely on me I understand and shouldve prepared to leave earlier in case of car accidents. I was on the phone with a front desk worker, pulling up to the building a couple minutes late. The lady said that my appointment was scheduled as 15 minutes, some of which was going to be taken up for doing a teeth impression. She said that the Dr would not have time to answer my questions if I were late. This is what rubbed me wrong because I already told them last time I wanted to talk about maybe even fixing my teeth, or extra precautions like a permanent wire retainer if the night guard wasnt working. Even them telling me thats a stupid idea and heres why is a better answer than not answering at all. If I want to waste money on braces fixing two teeth thats my choice, but I wanted to ask about the time and costs. All of this takes longer than the 10-12 minutes I would have had left after doing a teeth impression, even if I had shown up on time. The front desk worker said I should have scheduled a consult appointment then. I decided not to enter the building at all since they prioritize speed and seeing more patients over quality. There was just a lack of and poor communication from all of Dr. Jensens assistants who I talked to. I should have been told about different types of appointments, or if the first Lady listened to me when I explained what I was there for, she couldve scheduled me properly. Were they making me a new night guard or what is the plan with the impressions? Can I just glue a wire like my brother instead? None of those options still address how to fix the teeth that moved. Some of these couldve been answered the first day without them needing to see my night guard. My theory is the ladies are so used to working with young children that they cant help but treat me like one and not take my concerns seriously because I havent grow an inch since they saw me like 11 years ago.

My sister, mom, and I have all been with Dr. Jensen for over 5 years and he's left us all with beautiful smiles. We are all so thankful for him and all of his hard work. He is not just a good orthodontist though, he's also a good person. Every time I'm in his chair it feels like I'm talking to an old friend and he always does a good job of explaining everything he's doing and answering any questions. The facilities itself is extremely welcoming and friendly. I've never had a bad experience with any of the staff and they are always very helpful.
