Dr. Christy Walker

I was excited about seeing Dr. Walker today. Used my PTO, completed online check-in, brought current medications, and got the appointment confirmation text message yesterday. When I arrived at the office, which took 40 minutes, the lights were off. Front desk person helped me reach someone who repeatedly told me that Dr. Walker isnt available because today is her surgery day. The person proceeded to try rescheduling. Sometimes, learning to say sorry or at least empathizing on behalf of the organization goes a long way. Youre part of the organization who didnt fix the scheduling issue, causing the patient a loss. Hospitals are so eager to bill you, but they dont take responsibility for their own mistakes. What a shame.

Ive always enjoyed my visits with Dr Walker but had a visit with Amber Johnson today. Not only do we have the same name and are both from Louisiana, but she made me feel so comfortable and talked me through my exam. She is a great addition to the team! Please let her know she is valued and appreciated.

Last week I had and needed a procedure that was not routine for an issue that I was experiencing. During my visit, I expected to see Dr. Walker and not the NP especially given the circumstances. I wasn't told until I was in the exam room on the table that Dr. Walker wasn't there. Additionally, the procedure was unsuccessful and very painful, and I still do not have any answers or options for what is needed to cure my problem. On top of that, I still had to pay my deductible even though the main procedure wasn't rendered. Doctors should see their patients when they are experiencing anything out of the ordinary. I also waited for almost an hour before I was seen. This is unacceptable.

A class act doctor and staff!! Her bedside manner is awesome. She has a caring spirit for ALL! I had a meticulous issue going on and she handled it with pristine professionalism. I am a 60 plus and I ask where was she when I gave birth to my daughter - really needed her expertise. If you are searching for a wonderful knowledgeable gynecologist no matter your age - go see her she will not disappoint.
