Carlos is a great instructor whose love for the art of American Kenpo Karate is palpable and contagious. He is highly effective with both children as well adult students and takes their personal and technical development very seriously. TX Kenpo is on a completely different league from the first Karate school our kids attended. Definatly the best Karate studio in the DFW area from our point of view.

I used to train years ago in other martial arts and luckily found Texas Kenpo. One of the best experiences one could have in looking to join a martial arts dojo is right here. Sensei Carlos is very thorough in his teachings and instructions and deeply cares about the progression and development of his students. Im glad I joined several months ago on my martial arts journey and I highly recommend everyone to join our school. Classes are available 6 days a week as well!

I've practiced Kenpo back in 2011, unfortunately have to moved away and stop doing Kenpo. In a twist of fate, one day, i just happened to pass the dojo and decided to enter and ask info, and it turns out that, Carlos Alvarez, he was partner of my previous sensei whom I used to practiced back in 2011. After going a few lessions, my previous passion and my energy came back again, I feel I'm the same kid when I was practicing in 2011 My suggestion is, give this martial art a tried, and sensei Carlos Alvarez it's one of the best sensei, I have training with

I have been training at TX Kenpo Karate for over a year now since it opened, and I can confidently say that it is one of the best dojos in Texas. Sensei Carlos here is top-notch. He is not only highly skilled in American Kenpo but also incredibly patient and dedicated to helping his students succeed. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced martial artist, he tailors his instruction to meet your individual needs and goals especially due to his wealth of knowledge and experience. He is the real deal and you're not going to find that anywhere else here. One thing that sets TX Kenpo Karate apart is the emphasis on character development. It's not just about physical training; but also focus on building strong, respectful, and disciplined individuals. The sense of community here is fantastic. I've made great friends and found a support system within this dojo which I had been missing since I moved to Texas. I highly recommend TX Kenpo Karate to anyone looking to start their martial arts journey or continue their training. It's a place where you'll not only improve your physical abilities but also grow as a person. It totally changes who you are as a person and how you approach your day to day life. I'm grateful to be a part of this wonderful dojo.
