    Meet Marcus. In my 25 years experience with Verizon this unfortunate gentleman has the distinct customer service award of Worst Service Experience. At any businessEver. Marcus took particular pride in his apathetic, narcissistic approach to customer experience. He had me in his care in a panic as my SIM card suddenly stopped working and I was going to be late to pick up five kids in three different locations. He took delight in presenting me with the (reasonable) policy of needing my physical ID (which I had misplaced). It didnt matter to him that I could provide a picture copy of my ID, that it was obviously me, the primary credit card being used to fund the account, or many other forms of ID with my picture on it. Policy is policy. I get it. However, Marcus took particular delight in not helping me to work through any other solutions to the problem I was experiencing. He appeared joyful at my distress. He took personal delight in not allowing me access to Wi-Fi or allow me to use a phone to call my business partner who could have provided an ID scan from her side. He was laughing at my distress. He even taunted me through the window as I sat in my car, trying to come up with another solution. I finally found my way to a Verizon authorized reseller nearby, who is absolutely glad to help work through alternate methods of getting my phone repaired. I was happy to pay the reseller to put a new Sim card in my phone and I even allowed him to sell me a $60 a month insurance policy to make sure I never had to deal with Marcus again. Its been two weeks since this incident and I thought long and hard about whether it was worth it to even write this post. But now two weeks later, Im still aghast. What a knucklehead this guy must be. At least Im not Marcus!
