image We have employed AAA Air Control on several occasions over the past several years. No matter what we needed done, their service people came though with flying colors! In fact on a recent, annual inspection, the representative discovered evidence there had been a fire in one of heating units. We had them replace the unit...they were back in two days and completely removed the old and installed the New furnace in less then a day. I have lived were I am for over 45 years and when I find a company that are as fine and reputable as AAA Air Control, I keep them. This family business is as good as you will find here in the Hill Country. We feel they may well have saved our home/lives on their last service inspection. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts!

image Our 4 year old unit wasnt cooling. We always like supporting our community & using local companies, so we called AAA. They were able to come out that day; so we were thrilled! And tired of SWEATING!
We were told that, Worst case scenario, We may have to replace the coils, but he would have to come back after the weekend to do so, if that was, in fact the problem & he told us that A LEAK WASNT DETECTED, so he recommended adding 3 lbs of Freon so that the unit would blow cool again. It worked for a few hours but started blowing hot in the middle of the night. 85 degrees.
After we researched that A/C units should NEVER loose Freon unless there is a significant leak; we realized that adding Freon without knowing that there was in fact an existing leak was the technicians job to inform us & irresponsible! After all, WE didnt go to school for A/C as they have!
THIS WAS A TOTAL WASTE OF OUR HARD EARNED MONEY; not to mention HORRIBLE FOR OUR ENVIRONMENT!
A/C still blowing hotThe technician came back out 2 days later & said that he detected a leak & there was a bunch of oil under the copper pipes, that wasnt there before. All of the 3 lbs of Freon that he added; GONE! What?
I asked why on Earth would we approve Freon being added to the system if there is a possible leak & it could all leak out? He said that he couldnt detect a leak because, it was a windy day & his detector doesnt work under those conditions.
WHY WOULD YOU LEAVE THAT DETAIL OUT?
WHY WOULD WE PUT $400 WORTH OF FREON IN IF WE KNEW IT WOULD ALL LEAK OUT OR THAT WED BE PAYING FOR IT ALL OVER AGAIN IF THE UNIT NEEDED A NEW COIL?
Again, we know nothing about Freon & that it cant be contained & put back in the unit; thus the charge for 3 lbs wouldnt be a total waste as it has.
I WOULD HAVE GONE TO HOME DEPOT & BOUGHT A $200 WINDOW UNIT UNTIL THE PROBLEM WAS SOLVED! At least wed have back up Air Conditioning if we were in need.
So, now we are out $500. NO A/C.
The Owner has no apologies, was aggressive & argumentative.
What happened to Customer Service? Being helpful? Empathy towards others; especially your neighbors?
NEVER an; Im sorry this happened, lets get your unit up & running, how about a discount on our labor for the $2,500 job for the coil that needs to be replaced & hundreds of dollars of Freon that must be added.
We remodel homes, assist clients in managing their properties, set up service calls, installs, etc We HELP our clients. SAVE THEM MONEY EVERY CHANCE WE CAN, SO THAT THEYRE NOT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF!
I can assure you that we will not be sending any of our clients money their way, they have lost thousands of dollars just like that.
