Comfort Suites

Absolutely the worst comfort suites i have ever been too, had to change rooms because of over powering mold smell, ac not working properly and spider webs to another room that smelled of heavy cleaners with painted sprinkler heads and a mold growing on the piping below the sink.

Terrible hotel. Staff was not friendly at all. Gave me dirty looks every time I walked through the lobby. Housekeeping didn't clean the room. Toilet kept running all night. Boyfriend is a vet with night terrors and they charged for a service animal. I've never had this kind of experience at any other comfort suites.

Called ahead to make sure there is an indoor pool/spa. Hot tub didn't work & it and pool were filthy, so wouldn't use anyway! Comfort Inn & Suites are really going downhill.

The location was perfect. I read the reviews and was a little concerned at what we would find upon arriving. But I had booked so close to my arrival date that I couldn't cancel without losing money. Check-In went smoothly. Alicia (Desk Clerk) was very friendly. The property is older and some areas could use updating. When we stepped into our room, there was a very strong moldy smell. The carpet in front of the bathroom is beginning to pull away. The shower / tub lever was broken. The tub is very slippery and no slip mat is provided. So updates are needed in that respect. The room was large enough and well equipped. The bed was comfortable and the A/C was cold. We took our grand daughter to the indoor pool area. There were plenty of towels and the area was clean. The hot tub was not working. Not an issue for us, so I didn't mention it to the staff. The breakfast was sufficient. I'm still having a difficult time dealing with how much hotel room stays are these days. I think $300/ for 2 days is too much, but it was the least expensive place I could find. If I ever needed a place to stay in Lufkin, I would probably chose a different property.
