Baymont by Wyndham Houston La Porte

This has been the most comfortable motel out of all the local motels of similar pricing. The location is quiet. The staff is super friendly and non-invasive. It's close to the freeway, McDonald's, the beach, and stores. And, you have close access to a walking trail, wave pool (seasonal), the park, and much more. I have truly enjoyed my stay here. Yes the room smells a little bit old and moldy, but it was super clean and most importantly comfortable. I will be back very soon. Thank you for a wonderful 2 nights of comfort. This was definitely a good value for the amount I paid for the night. I highly recommend your staying here. Rooms: Super clean and comfortable. Nearby activities: Park, walking trail, cemetery, wave pool, beach, golf course, boat ramp, and Laporte always has family activities. Safety: Laporte police department doesn't play. Walkability: Access to walking trail that winds through the city and connects all the parks and recreation areas.

I got the room at a discounted price on a booking app it was very basic and old place the comforter had a couple stains and the bed was missing a pillown

It was my first time staying at this hotel and I don't think I will be choosing it ever again. The hotel needs major work. Our first room, the toilet was not working, nor was the fridge. They did move us to another room but that was the least they could do. That room also had a few lamps that were not working. . The "free breakfast" is coffee and a gross old cinnamon bun which is fine but just remove the free breakfast sign from your website. Upon checkout, the manager called the room 5 minutes prior to check out to remind us which I've never had before. Pretty cheap in my opinion. Definitely not worth the price in my opinion but it was okay for a quick pass through for a night. The front desk guy was super nice and friendly but that's all the positive I can say for the place!

Its not the worst but...This is the old La Quinta motel and not as advertised in the booking. Lots of mildew smell and stinks. Sewer flies. Old window air conditioning. This is not 3 star. Had to change room with no issue from front desk. Got a better room but still mildew stink and leaky sink pipe. Toilet was off the chain and didn't flush so my husband fixed it. Sheets and towels were clean. Room was clean enough for one night. The biggest problem is musty and mildew stink.
