I dont know why its rated a 1 star hotel its definitely a 4/5 . Nice rooms . Clean. No roaches . No bad paint . No bad smell. Basic cable. I didnt try the breakfast but it seems like what every hotel offers . It gives baddie on a budget. I would def stay here everytime I come to Katy.

I'd love to give this Scottish Inn 5 's, but they need to work for that. The place is modern and beautiful, with comfy beds, and those incredible waffles for breakfast. There are many things that could make it great, but when I called to ask if they could meet or beat the Expedia price, and the response was not a resounding, "yes!", like the nearby Studio 6, it started to go downhill. The room had a bathroom door that wouldn't close. Upon inspection, I saw that the hinges were nearly ripped out of the frame, so if I picked the door up, I could put it in the closed position. When I reported it (along with a non-functional hair dryer) at checkout, the desk clerk all but called me a liar. With a scoffing look, she said, "no". Sorry Honey, you lost 3 's for your brand because of your horrible attitude, and I did you a favor at that.

Best value hotel weve stayed. This was a nice surprise for the price. The road leading to the hotel is extremely well lit and so is the parking lot. Its away from the main big road so noise is minimal.
The outside of the hotel is plain, just like any other motel and boring. Very clean, no trash in site.
The lobby is small, but they do serve coffee, juice, cereal, waffles. We didnt eat here so I cant vouch for the food but the entire room so very clean and updated.
The room we got was on the second floor, two queen beds that were comfortable. You only get two pillows. Pillows werent great but the sheets/bedspread were clean. The mattresses have covers. I work in pest control and I have worked at a resort so I always check for bed bugs. Nothing was found.
The room we got has a small kitchenette with a small glass top with two burners, microwave, small coffee pot and sink. The hood over the stove vents to the outside so thats a plus. There are no cooking utensils, plates etc. theres also a desk, nice sized tv above the chest of drawers. Tiled floor!
The restroom was huge and spacious. It was spotless. Not one hair to be seen anywhere. The mirror is upgraded, the kind that doesnt fog in the middle. You also have a hair dryer, along with an ironing board and iron.
The overall feeling of the room is modern, clean and spacious.
I took a start off because the towels are old, somewhat stained, with pulled threads. They did give us two toothbrushes, mouthwash, shampoo and two small bars of soap.
