TLDR: Christy is the ideal wedding planner because she can make your dreams a reality. She can easily accommodate young professionals with busy schedules, living in different states and countries. She can create a wedding day that is truly representative of two cultures becoming one and make it the best day of your lives. Your wedding day will still be talked about in detail with your friends and families for months, and even years, to come.
My husband and I were in a long-distance relationship. He lived in Canada working full-time, while I lived in the United States. Shortly before my graduation, we knew that we were ready to start the immigration process and get married. I decided to find a wedding planner that would be willing to take on this challenge. During the consultation process, we discussed our situation with Christy, which we were fearful she would be unable to accommodate for. However, much to our surprise, Christy was unfazed and came with a willingness to learn. We expressed how important this day was to us, because it would be the first and time our families would meet and that we wanted to demonstrate two cultures becoming one: American and Chinese.
We decided to get married in Dallas as a good mid-point for our families. While we were in the initial stages of planning, I moved to the Midwest to start my new job. My husband remained in Canada. Christy was very accommodating, allowing us to set up zoom meetings and arrange in-person visits months in advance, due to our hectic schedules. When we were able finally able to meet Christy face-to-face, it was clear the way she presented herself online was the exact same in-person: genuine, kind, and attentive! We ended up touring our future wedding venue and grabbing a bite to eat. It was the most relaxed and comfortable day because Christy felt like a close friend.
When it was time to start contracting vendors, Christy worked with our vendors to write in a clause that would allow us to move the wedding date back by a year to prevent us from accumulating additional fees. When it became apparent that the immigration process would take longer than imagined. Christy worked with our vendors to find a new wedding date, a year later. Now that the wedding was more than a year and a half away, we decided to reconvene later.
After more than six months passed, we picked up exactly where we left off. Christy re-evaluated our initial wedding design and was more than willing to update it with our new preferences. Her expertise and recommendations with vendors was greatly appreciated and demonstrated the strong relationships she had built with them. When we were unable to travel for important in-person meetings, Christy would Face-Time us in. We had our floral mock-up on Facetime, where she showed us the arrangements and made sure that, even over the phone, we were included in the conversation.
Before we knew it, it was time for wedding weekend after nearly two years of planning! Our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner were seamless. Our families were comfortable and had a wonderful time. They remarked on the excellent restaurant and dcor. Our wedding day was better than I could have ever imagined! From getting ready to dancing the night away, our families and friends enjoyed themselves because every element Christy created was representative of us. My husband and I were blown away by the entire production: the serenade by the string quartet, the candlelit dinner with larger than life floral arrangements, lion dancers enthralling the crowd, and the dance floor full of bodies moving and grooving in sync. By the end of the night, I was sad that two years of wedding planning was over in the blink of an eye. Even almost three months after the wedding, I am beyond grateful for the immense work that Christy and her team put in to creating the best wedding day for us possible. If you are looking to create the wedding of dreams, so that you may have the time of your life, I hope you hire Christy because there is no better person out there!

Christy was such a blessing to make sure our day was special. We went from wanting a huge formal wedding to a small intimate ceremony and she was there with a positive attitude every step of the way. Christy was our first vendor we hired after we had chosen a date and venue to be married at. From the start, she gave my husband and I a sense of respect and calmness to begin our wedding planning journey. She provided us with numerous resources to use during wedding planning, which were very helpful and provided great advice for before, during, and after the wedding. She prioritizes your opinion and thoughts and always clarifies with you before moving forward when ordering items or securing vendors. Christy remained honest and true to herself throughout the planning process which is something that my husband and I appreciated. Being the indecisive woman I am, Christy did not overwhelm me with multiple options, rather gave me 2 - 3 choices, which allowed me to narrow my decision with ease. Christy knew the business in the Dallas area and planning a wedding while out-of-state, I knew I could trust her work. She caught on to my vision quickly and delivered ideas that were so on-point with my style. Everything about our wedding day was so wonderful and turned out more beautiful than I had envisioned. Christy and her team were a joy to work with and my husband and I are so glad that we found her!! Highly recommended :)

September 5, 2021 was truly a day to remember and that is all thanks to Swank Soire and Christy Record. Christy is an extraordinary planner who genuinely cares about her clients. She is friendly, passionate and truly executed our vision. Her experience, knowledge, and relationships with vendors are unmatched! There were times when my mom and I couldnt find the words to express our ideas or what we wanted, but Christy understood our vision and helped create the most beautiful and perfect unforgettable day! All of her suggestions, recommendations, and ideas were brilliant! She perfectly matched our vendors to our style. Christy spent hours in person, through emails, and over the zoom making sure no detail was missed. She truly went above and beyond in every aspect. When it came to wedding day,we had over 15 vendors,and 300+ guest and the day went off with out a hitch. I dont know how my mom and I can ever express our appreciation and gratitude to Christy and her team. Our wedding was straight out of a fairytale, and something my husband and I will cherish forever. Look no further than Swank Soire and Christy Record; I know you wont be disappointed!!

Christy was a DREAM to work with and a joy to get to know. As a type-A person, it is hard for me to trust others with a task like planning my wedding. However, I could not have asked for a better wedding planner to bring our big day to life. From the very beginning, I felt an immediate sense of calm and trust in Christy and her team. My wedding day was a dream come true and it was all thanks to Swank Soiree. Christy is communicative and ] personable, and she prioritizes the needs of the bride and their family. She genuinely cares about her clients and is invested in the significance of the wedding day. Her planning process was thorough and accessible for everyone involved and she took everything we shared to heart, found vendors that matched our style, and offered suggestions that were the perfect added touch to our day. To top it off, our wedding took place in Houston, and, although she is a Dallas-based planner, it felt like she ran the city of Houston and found the best vendors in our area. I highly recommend Swank Soiree to those looking for a wedding planner as it was a true privilege to work with their team!
