image A well-maintained property that had friendly service and good appearances. I think it's a well-run hotel.
However, I woke up in the morning after check-in and turned on the faucet: yellow water! Insane. The toilet water was also yellow (yes, I flushed several times) and so was the shower's. I immediately called the front desk, who then sent a maintenance man.
The maintenance man said this was normal... interesting. I don't like washing my hands in yellow water; I made sure to call the front desk once again. The front desk staffer came up herself and said that this is a bit of a commonly occurring issue, especially in some of the other rooms, and that the immediate fix is to let the water run for 30 minutes or so until it clears up.
Well, I did just that, which cleared the water flow and I had no other similar run-ins for the rest of my stay. But that posed a lot more concerns internally. What causes this yellow water to appear? Something in the hotel's tanks? Are the pipes "clean"?
Anyway, service was great and cleanliness was par with hotel standards. Just a weird observation with the water that I don't think should be left unattended.

image We stayed here for three nights to visit family for Christmas. The prices were higher due to the holiday, which is understandable, but the experience was not worth the cost. Check in was fine, but upon entering the room we noticed a moldy smell on the entire floor of the hotel. There were holes in the wall of our room where a picture frame used to be, our fridge was broken and we had to be brought a new one. However, when the new fridge was brought to us, it did not fit in the designated space and had to be plugged in and left against the wall. Our shower also had no hot water. Later that evening we then found roaches in the bathroom and requested to move rooms. The remaining two nights were just okay at best but still not worth the price. The woman who checked us out of the hotel informed me her manager/owner was on vacation out of the country but would be told of our experience and refund us the cost for our first night. It was been almost 4 weeks now and I have yet to see any refund or call from a manager. Hopefully, this review will reach the right people who can rectify this situation.
0 stars - pick a different hotel. Not sure how this place has so many positive reviews.
