03/21/2024 I received a call from the branch as well as corporate about my experience. I appreciate the attentiveness to the matter. The funds have been returned to my account. Overall it was just a big inconvenience. On Friday March 15th, I used the ATM in Woodforest Bank to process a withdrawal for $450. My father banks with WNB which was the reason for me even being in the bank. To give insight, there was a banker standing at the entrance of the bank, as well as, a camera positioned over the top of the ATM. I put in my card, entered my pin number, and confirmed their $3 service fee. The machine made sounds as if it were going to dispense the money. IT DID NOT. I made the banker aware, and she also called her manager to repeat the reasons why the couldn't correct the issue on site. I was told in about 24 hours (since the transaction is pending) my funds would be returned. That didn't happened, so I called my bank which is Navy Federal Credit Union. They advised the transaction was flagged for reversal. Its Monday morning and the funds are still not in my account. While I'm thankful, I had another $450 to work with while these funds are absent from my account... this experience does speak to the low attention to resolve and unfair processing I experienced with WNB. Its not my responsibility or fault that your ATM machine was either empty or malfunctioning. Yet I had to assume a burden of lack and wait for my money to come back to me (eventually), all for attempting a transaction for my Dad who does bank with WNB. I'll never step foot in any of our branches or use your ATMs ever again, as well as, encouraging my Father to do business elsewhere. No one should experience anything like this in these times where people need their money.
