    Joe and Johnny Mac are just amazing. Brought my niece over to make her first car purchase. She fell in love with a gently used 2012 Nissan Altima and worked a deal to take her new Altima home!     I needed a car but had been recently burned by the purchase of a lemon from another small dealership. Joe reassured us of his character and integrity (telling us that he was a Christian businessman) and we purchased a nice Subaru from him for a good price. Part of why we felt safe to buy it was because he had been using the Subaru as his personal car for over 1k miles and he said it was reliable (it has thankfully proven to be so). He said he would get the car detailed before we took custody of it (there were 3 liquid stains on the interior seats, and as I said, he had been driving it daily until the day we bought it, so it probably needed a vacuum too). There was a bunch of leaves under the hood near the windshield and normal grease etc on the engine. He said he left it like that so customers would feel reassured that he wasn't trying to cover up leaks or anything by getting the engine cleaned, but that he would have it done before we took the car. We ended up buying the car and arranging with Joe to get it detailed ourselves, to incl headlight polishing; we agreed to try to keep the cost at about $100. My husband called a few places to compare prices, but with the upholstery, headlights, and the engine, it ended up being $240, which we paid. Joe has spent 7 weeks NOT reimbursing us. He has been bickering over text, and has promised twice to reimburse us over Zelle and not done it. The Subaru is not a lemon. But this man has very poor character and is not trustworthy. We accepted a dirty car with a promise of reimbursement for the cleaning. His worthless promises have not been fulfilled, and the bickering and petty insults we have received about the difference in cost are unacceptable from a businessman. I would have been less offended if he had paid the $100 and complained about the difference. Joe could have had two happy customers, a five-star review about how our trust in car dealers was renewed, and referrals to all our friends who are looking for a good dealership to buy cars for their teen drivers.
