My air conditioner went out a week ago, I left an emergency maintenance request and did not hear from anyone for 2 days. I had to hound the front desk to get maintenance to come fix my unit. I was left with a portable AC for a week and was not communicated with on when it would be fixed or what their plan of action was. It has been extremely frustrating and a ridiculous amount of time with no working air conditioning.

***I want to make a note I wrote this review before I knew GreyStar took over, I cant speak much on they will operate this building however Gables did an amazing job!***
Honestly I have no idea why the reviews are super low for this place. My roomate and I spent a 15 month lease at this place and for the most part, we enjoyed it.
Robin is an absolute saving grace, anytime we encountered an issue she was the first person we went to. She really made us feel at home and we had a strong connection to her from the start.
There were a few cons I'd like to share (Like any apartment) when we first signed we were really sold on the resident events, but that was short lived. The first event host was pregnant and left on leave, so it took several months to get a new one, and that couple was also short lived, only doing maybe 6-8 resident events total. They started off strong but just faded out. Not sure if that was via the apartment life company or the actual apartment not wanting to provide that amenity to us anymore.
The apartments are a little on the pricier side but you're in Frisco plus we really enjoyed the decor and color scheme, I am actually taking inspo for my future home. We lived on the 4th floor in the middle hallway of the building so we never encountered the dog poop/pee, the smoke smell, the loud noise that is mentioned in many reviews, maybe we were just lucky.
The structure and parking lines def need work in the garage, again we lived on the 4th floor so finding a spot was not hard but when it would rain/hail trying to get into a space under the garage was very hard due to the structure.
We also did not like when they combined the leasing agents from Maxwell and the Margo, they actually ended up taking a private resident room to use as an office space for someone new. I feel they should have sent something to the residents introducing the agents.
Other than the minor details, we enjoyed our time at The Margo. We would have renewed but my roommate and I thought it was best to go our seperate ways and again it was a little over budget for 1 person to stay however I would recommend this place to be your home! :)

My experience with the management of this place has been nothing short of disappointing. Despite their claims of being a luxury apartment, a mere stroll through the property reveals stained carpets and walkways, broken doors, not to mention the use of contractor-grade appliances and finishes. It's evident that the luxurious image they project is nothing more than a facade. The lack of communication with residents on important issues is frustrating, along with a complete absence of accountability, particularly from Joyce, only adds to the disappointment.
On a separate note, other residents have commented on various community issues. These problems seems to be exacerbated by The Margo making empty promises without any follow-through or accountability. For instance, there are individuals who openly smoke in public while the Margo is a smoke-free residence (per the lease) OR the management of the trash pickup during early weekend hours. These behaviors seems to be in line with misrepresenting the needs/concerns of the residents to the Gables upper management to "save professional face" from the local office. More generally the vibe is, "keep paying us money and we might talk to you about your concerns."
Beyond the management issues, the behavior of some residents leaves much to be desired. Dumping trash in or around the designated areas instead of using the proper receptacles has become a common occurrence.
It's disheartening to realize that we were sold on the idea of a luxury apartment, only to find that our actual experience falls far short of that promise.

If I could give zero stars I would. Management doesnt respond to concerns nor do they care. This place has gone down drastically in less than two years. My apartment constantly smells like marijuana, the hallways and elevators smell like marijuana or dog pee everyday. Dog poop inside the building and on the sidewalk. The mangers and reps dont do anything to solve any problems. This place is overpriced for what you get. Hidden fees and new fees were the experience I had. Security is almost non existent as the gates to the garage are broken often or just left up. Door locks that are broken will go unrepaired and other doors are left propped open for days at a time. I also had an issue with roaches on the first day of move in as well as having an apartment that wasnt clean when I moved it (they did send a crew to re clean it but that didnt help much). I wish I took the other negative reviews seriously before I moved in. I would never recommend this over priced place to anyone.
