My recent visit to Dentist at Chisholm Trail started off positively with a thorough cleaning by and a helpful suggestion to address a toothache with a crown placement. However, what was anticipated to be a 2-hour procedure stretched into a frustrating 4-hour ordeal due to equipment malfunctions, leaving me feeling inconvenienced. While I understand such issues can arise, clearer communication regarding potential delays would have been appreciated.Upon completion, my checkout experience soured as I inquired about including a whitening kit due to the extended visit. Despite already paying a substantial amount and experiencing significant inconvenience, I was met with resistance from the front desk representative, Ashley. This lack of flexibility and understanding left me emotionally distressed, especially considering my loyalty to the practice and the substantial investment I've made over time.Seeking resolution, I attempted to speak with the office manager, only to be informed they were unavailable until Monday. Despite being offered the whitening kit later, the initial interaction left a lingering sense of disappointment and frustration. Overall, while the dental care received was satisfactory, the lack of customer-centric approach and communication regarding delays detracted from an otherwise positive experience. I'm still pending a call from the office manager- Lisa

Both my wife and I here recently as we were looking to move dentists. Unfortunately it was not a pleasant experience so far, and has ended up costing us FAR more than we were quoted at the time of service. The fillings I had done were done well, so I cannot fault that, however, the cleaning was non-existent almost. Ive been to dentists for 30+ years and the cleaning that was done here took an extremely short amount of time, yet still let plaque buildup behind my lower teeth (below permanent retainer). I have since gone to another dentist and when I mentioned I had a cleaning done in the last month or so, they were rather surprised. My wifes experience was honestly worse than mine. After speaking about the pricing, she said in the chair, by herself with no one checking in on her or with her for an hour and 20 minutes. After no one came back to the room after an hour and 20 minutes, she went to the front desk to ask to be rescheduled. The receptionist apologized to her and said this was their lunch hour. Ummm, what!? That was extremely frustrating to her and to me because she sat there for that long while they went to lunch. They didnt tell her anything. They didnt come in and check in on her just let her sit there. And either they didnt catch it or didnt discuss it but she was told at the new dentist that there was an unknown wisdom tooth hiding back there - which was a surprise to my wife. Then we get to the billing - which is honestly ridiculous. We both discussed the pricing and was told everything would be covered but a small amount. My wife paid for some fluoride treatment but I would pay about $200 for the entire treatment after insurance. Our insurance is the best plan Cigna offers in Texas, so we have adequate coverage. We also have a new dental plan that was active at the time of our visit, but we expressly informed them at the front desk to ONLY use the Cigna coverage. Well, lo and behold, the same charges for my wife that were submitted to Cigna, were also submitted to Delta. Literally the same claims, same amounts, same everything. So although my wife only went once, it looks like they billed both insurances to get paid twice for 1 service. Ive now got bills for a little less than $1500 when I was told I had coverage when they checked my insurance and even their own service quotes available online show coverage, so something isnt right. Ive checked the EOBs, and looked online at the statements. The EOBs clearly state what was covered and what wasnt and is prompting me to pay the bills owed. Heres what spurred this review at the end of the day: I am a very fair person (you can see my other reviews), but I called and spoke to the front desk person and was told I would get a call the next day from their billing person onsite well, its 10:35PM and no call, no email, no attempt to get in touch with me so we could figure it out. When someone has an issue, its best to handle it vs. ignoring it. If the person was out sick, or unavailable, then I should have gotten a call from someone else explaining that. Im self-employed and have built my business based on trust and following-through with what I say I am going to do. That is why the silence from today bothered me enough to write this. Im sure there are plenty of good reviews, and the woman that did my fillings was great. She was kind, courteous and treated me like a friend; which was nice. But the billing, the treatment of my wife, and the no-follow up today led to this review. While some would just click 1-star and move on, I am giving 2-stars because Joyanna (who did some emergency tooth repair for me last year) and Angel (who did my fillings this time) were kind, helpful and the best part of our visit(s).
