Today, I came to visit my father, who is sick with Parkinson's and dementia. His health is terrible, and obviously not the best times of his or my life. It was not a great visit because of the dementia. After my visit, I come out to find this sticker on my truck for a parking violation...though the space is not marked, "No Parking", like other spots in the parking lot. Everyone knows that there is nowhere near enough parking for this building...and parking on the street is a 2 hour minimum, with the chance of getting a parking ticket. So It's frustrating to me that management thinks this sticker, (that is impossible to remove), is a better idea than placing a sign at the spot, if they want no parking there. Just Dumb!

I find it utterly disturbing that the ONLY reviews higher than 1 star are employee reviews! What does that say about your facility. I am looking for a place for my MIL to heal and get her strength back after a fall and this DOES NOT sound like the place for us! I am a nurse and I am so ashamed at what I am reading about my fellow medical workers! DO BETTER STAYTON STAFF! DO MUCH BETTER!

found out today that there was a past due bill from Medstar from 2017 that had caused my mothers credit score to tank. Medstar transported my mother in 2017 to the hospital because we could not get answers at the Stayton's skilled nursing facility. The staff just said that mom had a low tolerance for pain and was not improving. When we got to the hospital, they removed her brace and saw that the surgery had failed and her femur was broken. I had gotten on my mother the week before to "buck up" and try harder. Boy did I feel bad. This was years ago and of course the Stayton denied any wrongdoing and ganged up on us. The Physical therapist at the time said she had told me she thought something was wrong. All she told me was that mom had a low tolerance for pain. The in house doctor(who I was required to use in skilled nursing) never contacted me. I know in my heart that if I had known my mothers surgery had failed and that her leg was broken I would have been on top of things. My mother almost had to have her leg amputated. This was years ago and the battle is not worth the fight. They still send me advertising- which is offensive. I just spoke with med star today and they said they had been sending the bills to the Stayton, with no return mail. The stayton never forwarded any mail to us and never reached out(but I do still get advertising from them which I find offensive). They cant even handle the mail much less patient care. I try not to think about how bad elder care is these days as its a huge business. My mom is happy and healthy now at age 90 at Sunrise Nursing Facility on Bryant Irvin. We have now been there almost 8 years and while they are not perfect(nothing is) the care is so far above the Stayton it does not even compare. The stayton is a beautiful building, but dont get awstruck by that. Who cares about the brick and mortar, if patient care is horrible and negligent. I wonder where all my mothers mail is now.?
