for federally funded agency it sure is run poorly and upper management is stacked with people who know elected officials(building is actually rented out to the county by an elected official to top it off )Previous Executive Director Maribel Saenz generally cared about what the agency did. current director Longoria could care less and help manufacture a controversy to throw her out. It didn't help that he purged the department of most of the executive staff with his own people. talk about brain drain. and it shows in the reviews of the agency.

This place is really unbelievable.first there was a huge line which I don't blame them for @ 7 am....some of the staff like the receptionist and another couple of worker walking around were amazing but when it come down to get the process started let me tell you..I turned in everything that was begin asked for but the older lady I got didn't even look at my paperwork before she was like you don't have any of the paperwork we need mind I had called an confirmed the paperwork I was taking would be enough but not to her standards I had to hand her all the printed documents so she could see they were there ...she said I didn'tt have everything ....she was amazingly rude & condescending she is helping a with applications at the counter and I was under the impression they were there to help but anything that's is seem like she doing it with a bad intentions ..I be tried to get some more information because I was a bit confused this was my first time there and she got a supervisor and he was just as condescending as her .. please improve your professionalism people aren't there to be ridiculed but for help ... honestly wouldn't recommend to anyone but this is what you have to go through for help its so awful hopefully anyone else has a better experience Update-I applied in July only to hear back from them in September when my light was already disconnected stating that my account was no long active just because the lady didnt believe I had a disconnection notice even after getting confirmation form customer service..totally unacceptable for a place offering help but it doesnt matter to any of them horrible customer service as well as horrible supervisor experience..

Very upsetting to have people waiting in long wait over the phone and when it asks to leave your info, phone number, and brief message it so happens that the mail box is full. Very disappointing that they are unable to answer the phone in accordance to the situation. Thinking they will help people in the time of need but no they don't. Unsatisfying.
