The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center - Dallas

Tried to attend a group meeting, got there and the front desk person just told me to walk in...5 minutes later I get escorted out without any willingness to direct me to the right place. They didn't care why I was there or why. But I guess that's how social work always is.

We just had a horrible experience with a donation pickup today. This organization should be ashamed of how their drivers conducted themselves. They were quite possibly the rudest people we’ve had to deal with. Providing good customer service is obviously not a priority at this place. It’s safe to say we will never make another donation here again.

So says it's a rehab. But it's highly restricted. This is supposed to help you rebuild your life. All they care about is profits. Let me explain. As a "beneficiary" of the program. You have to work in their warehouse for $7 a week and up to $25 a week after a 4 month period. Why?? Kids in third world countries get paid more. I'm supposed to rebuild my life not be put to basically slave labor. Also the stuff you donate to the salvation army does not go to the homeless or people in need. It goes in their stores and they sell it for 100% profit. Everything. All the really good stuff they sell on E bay with marked up prices for basically second hand junk. Again. Nothing you donate goes to help anyone. They just sell it for a profit and the guys in the rehab they use for basically free labor and call it "therapy". Place doesn't help you regain life. Salvation Army is a corporate monster and a joke
