image As a designer in today's crazy market, to be able to stop in to a showroom and to find impeccably made furniture that you can purchase off of the floor is a godsend. I have multiple pieces that I'm looking for to finish a client's project and found a plethora of options available. Audrey was my sales consultant and she was courteous and had great follow-up.The showroom is beautiful and they have really nice vignettes set up for indoor and outdoor options. I have also been to McGannon on several trade industry events, always a fabulous experience.

image First visit was to MCGS in July 2021. We did not want to wait until 2022 for our furniture. We wanted to buy off the showroom floor. We were only given one option for an entertainment center for our living room. I should have known then that of a "decorator" can only give you one option..LEAVE IMMEDIATELY. We have been lied to by Rori Rhodes, Teresa Higdon, and MCGS concerning the delivery of our furniture. Apparently I am supposed to know the definitions of "Ready to Ship",  " In Transit" , and "Ready for immediate delivery" actually mean 4-6 months, or in this case MAYBE the end of January, 2022....unless the factory in Vietnam closes AGAIN. Rori Rhodes, NEVER told us about any issues until pressed repeatedly. Today, December 22, 2021 she admitted that out furniture is indefinitely delayed. We paid by check, which means we can not file for a refund under our credit card. Now I know why she didn't want to take a credit card, because we would have been protected. Order whatever you want online, don't go here, they are doing the exact same thing you could do, and you would have more protection and you wouldn't have to pay the extra 20% for her "services". My furniture doesn't match. My personal belongings are still in black buckets with yellow lids from Home Depot. My bedroom side table is a bucket. I have a 300 lb+ coffee table I can not move to clean under. I trusted Rori Rhodes and McGannon Showrooms... for what? $63,000 later I have no shelves, and I am living out of buckets. We went $13,000 over budget (and we were willing to spend more) to live in our beautiful condo that we have worked our entire life for. The pictures are reflective of the current state of our condo. I sold all of my furniture in late August/ Early September because we were going to get our furniture "any day now", but still nothing. There are no answers from anyone at MCGS or Bernhardt Furniture after multiple emails and phone call

image Do not buy Bernhardt furniture from MCGS. Do not use their “interior designers” or “interior decorators”. Rori Rhodes and Teresa Higdon lied to us. They said our furniture was “in stock” “in transit”, & “ready for delivery” since 8/31/2021. Today is 1/12/2022 and we received our furniture this morning. The bedroom side tables don’t match our existing furniture. They don’t fit in the room (too big). The drawers don’t open or close smoothly (you need two hands, to make them come out and go back in). They don’t have the function that we need for our bedroom.
The items I need on a daily basis should be easily accessible, and easily usable for someone with a disability. I thought hiring an “interior designer” or “interior decorator” would mean they helped us pick out furniture while considering not only for the look, but also the form and function. Rori Rhodes said it was “like baking a cake”. She said I was trying to put the “frosting on before baking the cake”. What does that even mean after 6 months of waiting.
We spent $63,000 dollars with MCGS.
Do not make the mistake we made. Do not not trust anyone at this showroom. We have complained multiple times but no one calls back, no responses to email, no one will help us after the sale.
Look at the pictures below. Is this what you think your apartment should look like after spending $63,000 dollars (when our budget was $50,000).
What do we do now? We spent more than we wanted on junky furniture, and now we have no money to hire anyone else to finish our project.
What a waste of time, and money. 1 Star and that’s only because I had to select a star.
