Living at Slate is Amazing. It's quiet & very comfortable. I love it here. Walking distance to Katy Trail, great restaurants, & Trader Jones. Clean environment. It has been 3 months now, since I moved in & I'm happy I chose Slate at Cole.

My guy & I are going on 7 years living here & we continue to love it. From the ENTIRE, and I whole heartedly mean ENTIRE staff being amazing and the location, we are in heaven.
Much respect to our maintenance team, they are dedicated to this community and it shows, they just hired Allen, and Thank you for that, hes so willing to be of help!!
Roberto is amazing, but he cant do it all, so with Allen & Lois , this building is well taken care of.
Cant appreciate Stephanie & Alex enough.
Can yall tell we really love it here!

All of the staff at Slate were wonderful but two people stood out as giving truly incredible service and they are Stephanie and Roberto.
Stephanie was fabulous from day 1. My roommates relocation brought difficult challenges and Stephanie took care of it all with professionalism and a work ethic you just dont see much of these days.
Shes a real pro.
Roberto the maintence manager was awesome!
Work orders were completed very quickly, and professionally meaning he doesnt cut corners he fixes it right.
Plus he always has cheerful smile and couldnt be nicer. He can fix anything.

We have lived here for close to 2 years. Originally we really enjoyed living here with great management. But in the last 6 months we have noticed a large decline in the complex. Increased crime, insects in main areas and making way into apartments, consistent construction/maintenance of main areas, flooding of garage and main areas, broken garage gates, dead landscaping, coffee machine down, water shut offs and the the main lobby smelled like pure sewage for months. The tenants are also now very lax with letting their dogs go to the bathroom in the landscaping right next to our apartment instead of the leash lawn. Also, when we originally moved in there was monthly
community events and now there has been not one event for months and months. The area is great but not worth the price for the quality of this complex. We will be leaving when our lease is up. Be careful with the current reviews because that was prior to changes within management.

I lived here for about a year and a half and I would say it is an average apartment complex. You are truly only paying for the location, which is great. The resident coordinator, Stephanie, unlike most apartment management, is wonderful.
More than 60% of the time, you will not know if you have a package. If you work a normal work schedule you will have to wait to retrieve your package from the office until Saturday because the office does not open until 9 am and closes at 6 pm. Although they say that you can let them know if you know you are receiving a package and they will put it in a locker for you, sometimes thats simply not feasible. I was often sent things for work, and did not have a tracking number so I would not know when it arrived. The parking garage floods every time it rains. Do not park on the South side of the garage if it rains because you will be walking through water to get to your vehicle. Also, the gates to the garage frequently do not work. Half of the outlets in my apartment did not work and nether did the light switches for the fans. I sent in maintenance requests and they put blue tape over the outlets that did not work but never fixed them. The appliances, at least in my unit, were outdated and I had to send in multiple maintenance requests to have a working dishwasher and a freezer that did not leak. To be fair, maintenance will respond quickly. I had my apartment deep cleaned every month and still dealt with mold in the bathroom. I also dealt with a Millipede problem. When I reported the issue to maintenance, they provided sticky pads, but that was it. Millipedes would come in through the doors and windows, and they were next to impossible to keep up with.
I lucked out in getting a cheaper rent compared to what it is now based on when I signed, but I would not pay what they ask now.
