    I was put through immense stress trying to get my washer fixed/replaced. I was told that maintenance tried to enter my apartment 2 times on Monday April 1st while I was home. I immediately responded and tried to remedy the situation because no one ever knocked on my door or tried to enter and it was clear they were trying to enter the wrong apartment. I was accused of lying and changing my locks, and made to have a new key made. I complied, and was given zero compassion from Mary Ann. I was told they could not come the next day, Tuesday April 2nd to install the new washer so I was extremely surprised when I got a message saying my work order was complete with a note saying Installed new washing machine. I panicked, called the front desk immediately and Noreen answered saying that she would call maintenance. Noreen never called me back so I went to the front desk and talked to her face to face. She was quick to brush me off before I even got the chance to explain what was going on. She seemed just as surprised to me to find out that the washer was supposedly installed when they werent even supposed to do it that day. I swore to her over and over that I have been home all day and no one ever came, and she said she would contact them and call me back in a few moments. Of course she NEVER called me back as the staff of this complex is extremely bad at communication, which is a direct reflection of Noreens management skills and leadership qualities. I decided to submit a new work order Tuesday night and the next day, April 2nd, I got a call for Noreen saying that maintenance is telling her they already installed the washing machine. At this point I am in complete distress. This is now the 4th time I have been called a liar, told that even though I have been in my apartment every single time they supposedly entered, that I must be lying because maintenance said they did. I called back and told them they need to get someone to look at this washer to prove there is not a new one in my apartment. They said the maintenance manager was coming right now to look at the washer. I waited over an hour for them to come, literally sitting outside my door so I wouldnt miss them and have them accuse me of not being home. When they finally came, they were walking up the stairs with a new washer! I burst into tears, because I finally have proved I am not a liar and I can finally stop feeling anxiety. I was given zero explanation to what happened other than there was a mix up. I was given zero compassion, and the Hispanic gentlemen who was with Jamail Perkins even laughed at me on his way out. I will never know what truly happened with this situation, whose apartment were they at this whole time? Was the work order written wrong? Would they have closed the work order and never noticed anything was wrong unless I was as pushy as I was? I will never receive an apology for how I was treated at the front office either. I have severe PTSD and major anxiety disorder and getting into confrontation is difficult for me but I knew I had to stand up for myself or I would have been walked all over. I had 3 major anxiety attacks over the 3 days I was dealing with this situation, its simply inexcusable especially because all of this could have been fixed with better communication from the front office staff and the maintenance staff. LISTEN to your residents. WE are the ones paying rent. WE are the reason you even have a job. Finding a little compassion in your hearts costs you absolutely nothing. I know working is hard, I know you get resentment towards your residents, but we are not all here to make your day hard, we just want to live comfortably in the apartment that we can barely afford as it is. I hope this never happens to another resident again.
