    Been here a lonnnnng time, it's been pretty nice always. Belinda has always gone above an beyond to keep us happy. She works hard, like the rest of the staff. Lupe is like a friend and good at his job. My big dog he's not too fond of lol, but the dog community here is awesome. We know almost all the dogs and love the owners and ALL our neighbors. The outside is nicer that it's been painted the flooding did seem to get fixed. Thanking the new management for that. Although, the combination of issues discussed in other reviews is why I gave just 3 stars. My rent is still cheaper than others' are, my apt isn't updated, and the location is perfect. The old big trees are great and come in very handy walking the dog in 110.

    *STAY AWAY FROM THIS DILAPIDATED AND HAZARDOUS PROPERTY & NEGLIGENT STAFF* Summary: Maintenance issues ignored and delayed: The review alleges slow response times to repair requests, potentially violating the Texas Property Code. Discriminatory practices: The tenant clearly violates the Fair Housing Act, in many respects Neglectful property management: The property fails to adequately maintain the property, including the pool, and charges tenants for cleaning appliances in poor condition just before they get thrown in the garbage will charge you for not cleaning the appliance. Additionally, the manager of the place encourages folks from within the complex and non-residents to feed and accommodate several colonies of feral cats. They live in the complex, jeopardize the health of residents and their pets. The feral cats obviously are un-vaccinated and lack any veterinarian care. Safety concerns: The review refers to a neighboring tenant's violent behavior, including alleged abuse towards a child and domestic violence towards his woman. It further alleges that the management team is dismissive of these concerns and even protects the alleged perpetrator. Violation of tenant rights: The management team's restriction on communication with the neighboring tenant infringes upon my right to free speech and peaceful assembly. More details: Once we complained to the adjacent neighbor about his angry outbursts and his violence towards his 5 year old [I've witnessed him shaking his kid violently out in the parking lot] He also screams at his woman all day everyday and we heard loud thuds and bangs every day. The police does not prioritize domestic violence reports because despite having called them several instances, not one officer showed up. Autumn Sunrise staff does not care if that type of behavior happens in their property either. Quite the contrary, Autumn Sunrise protects the man being violent towards their 5 year old child and her mother. Aside from that, would even created excuses for him. "Oh he is Italian and talks very loudly!" The last episode between the neighbor and I, the office decided to tell me that they were forbidding me from contacting him or in other words they were restricting my movements and suppressing my speech or my ability to express my opinion. My opinion was about someone who chooses to disrupt our day's work since both my wife and I work from home and my toddler is home schooled. We would be in meetings and someone in the zoom would jump up ad ask: Whats going on over there? As they heard the neighbor man screaming at the top of his lungs and his woman screaming back. along with thuds and breaking sound coming from items being thrown around their unit. SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS: The pool which is an amenity you pay for as a resident is shown for you to see their quality maintenance. "The way you do one thing is how you do everything" The next photo you will see is of a stove the staff charged us to "clean" knowing full-well the same stove should have been thrown in the trash 2 years before that. if you ask a sober district attorney he might agree that, he could charge them with theft when they kept our deposit claiming one thing and in the process, lying and stealing from people. We did ask them for photographs of the inside of the unit we vacated to verify that the unit was indeed "unclean" because for all we know they could have left the unit unlocked and a few of the hobos in the immediate area could have had a field day in the unit. Go to a hostel, you will be glad you did.

    Update 2.8.2024 I used the resident portal to pay my rent and the portal saved a "flex rent" payment as a form of payment which not me or the apts complex knew could happen I called them to ask for help and was not taken seriously.. they care more about $ then the residents .. can't wait to move out I've lived at autumn sunrise since 2017 I moved in the month hurricane Harvey hit the new management bought the complex I believe in late December or January of this year since then they have done some updates all of which have been outside they give extremely to no notice on when anything is being done like water shutting off or losing power.. it seems like they care at their own convenience Belinda is absolutely amazing you can tell how much she cares for her residents and Lupe is great he's always on top of my maintenance request getting them done very quickly. Felipe has helped me out until he left and didn't make sure the new manager knew the issues. Also earlier this year we were supposedly mischarged for a couple months on our water or the extremely high trash fee which is $20 a month and this past month it was randomly added to my current rent making my rent about $40 higher which was not planned with absolutely no notice. The washers in my building are always acting up and stealing quarters. Right now one of them doesn't work and there's no out of order sign on it whatsoever I'd like to get reimbursed every time but I feel like it's redundant to keep asking every time they get stolen besides that it's great living here.

    As a current resident, I used to absolutely love living here. After the new management took over, they're more concerned with making the outside look pretty than they are with their residents. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig. I've lost money to the washers and dryers so much, you'd think they would either fix it or reimburse me, but neither have happened. The roach problem has also recently gotten out of hand. Not to mention I've seen multiple cop cars here every other week, which is a little concerning. You have to constantly put in maintenance request for the same problem in order to get it fixed. For the amount of rent they are charging, this place isn't worth it. I will be looking for a new place to live as soon as my lease is up.

Hello Katie,Thanks for your review, I would like to address a few of your concerns in the hopes of changing your opinion about the property: New Ownership and Management did take over late December 2022 and Ownership is committed to adding several amenities. The properties exterior paint was over 15 years and we needed to give it a new look and feel, which we feel has brightened up the breezeways and exteriors. The coin operated laundry room in your building was called in Arrow Appliance for repairs, it was found that one of the units needed a new coin trap, which was replace and tested. Pest control is on property every Friday, every unit is treated every 90 days. If you are needing pest control at any time, Please give us a call so we may put your unit down for pest control on Friday. I did see that your unit was treated on September 8th. I can add you to the list for Friday's pest control. I do see that you have one open work order for the washer, Arrow Appliance will be onsite to address the washers and dryers in your building. I have credited back $20.00 for the inconvenience you have experienced and hope in the future you have a better experience with Autumn Sunrise.
