Tru by Hilton Coppell DFW Airport North

I stayed at this hotel on my trip to see the 2024 Solar Eclipse. I chose this hotel because it had the best price available and had great reviews. Also, the price didn't drastically increase for the event weekend. I want to give a huge thank you to team member John, who checked us in when we arrived. He was so polite with every one of the guests I saw him interact with. It was a busy weekend, and they had a staff shortage, which meant a lot of rooms werent ready and a lot of unhappy guests. But John was excellent at getting everyone their rooms as quickly as possible. Not sure if I'll be back in this area again but I'll be looking for Hilton hotels on my next trip. The only cons I could think of are that the hotel's walls are a bit thin, especially in the bathroom area. Rooms: The rooms have a very modern style. We had a room with 2 queen beds and 1 TV. The closet is an open style with a good amount of space to hang your clothes. The bathroom was great lots of light, great shower and provided soap to use with enough towels for 4 showers. Food & drinks: They have hot coffee in the lobby throughout the day along with hot water for hot chocolate or tea. The morning free breakfast is so nice with plenty of things to choose from. You can even ask for different food options if you are on a restricted diet. Noteworthy details: The lobby has plenty of space to get work done, sit down relax, watch tv, and a pool table.

Loved this place, after best Western gave our room away we had to quickly find other accommodations. We easily booked this place, it was clean and smelled good upon walking in. Fun games in the lobby and patio. Attendants were helpful. The grounds were well lit! Rooms were clean, definitely will be back when in the area.

My reservation was supposed to be ready at 3:00. I showed up at 6:30 and had to wait almost 3 hours before I got to my room. Absolutely horrible. At no point did anyone provide an update, apologize, offer food/drink for the room full of people waiting for their rooms. Hard to imagine worse service than this.

Great place for families. Lots of snacks and seating in lobby. Good breakfast. Very clean. Pool table, bags, board games available for all, for free. Rooms are cute and colorful. Lots to do around at this location.
