This was the most insane thing Ive ever experienced. I waited nine hours to be helped and finally had to just give up and go home. How can an emergency room not help people promptly? This experience helped me see that Beaumont, Texas, is a place where people cannot gain access to medical care when needed.

Worst Emergency room experience I have ever encountered in my entire life. My sister has heart problems and was told by her cardiologist to go to the ER if she experiences chest pain. So here we are and have been here going on 9 hours and still in the waiting room area. They did check her vitals and do an ekg as well as labs but that was right when we got here. No one has come to explain results or communicate anything. Meanwhile shes scared something serious is going on and sitting here in pain. When we ask the triage nurse, she said she doesn't know. Several people have walked out because they were tired of waiting, even a woman with a newborn! It's a shame that there are only 2 hospitals in the area and St. Elizabeth is no better than Baptist.
