Purchased my Stihl chainsaw from this Northern Tool so thought Id bring it back to them when it needed service. That was in September, it is now March and I still dont have my saw back from them. Whenever I call during the very limited hours the service department is open, I get no answer or told they have my information and will get back to me. Havent heard anything from them ever. Made a trip out to the store, which is over an hour away from me in January to check on the status of my saw as I could never get a response from anyone. I was told to check back next week. Again called and no response from the service department. My saw only needs minor repairs and I could have gotten aftermarket parts or taken it to a Stihl dealer much closer to me. But decided to give my business to the place where I bought it. I wont be making that mistake again if I ever get my saw back from them. Thought Id give an update now that I finally have my chainsaw back. Guy from the service shop finally calls and says the repair is done done but then proceeds to ask if it came in with a bar and chain. Of course it came in with a bar and chain, and a bar/chain cover. Guy tells me hell find a bar and chain to put on it. Go to pick up the saw, service department guy is super apologetic about things, tells me he got it done under warranty and put a new chain on. Fine, whatever, just want my saw and to get out of there. Have to go through checkout and nobody up there new what was goi On or what to do, stood around for another 15 or so minutes before someone tells them to have me sign papers and I can go. A few more delays and I finally get to leave. Fast forward a week or so and get to using the safe and notice the spikes are not there. So guess I need to go to another shop and order those upas Im not going to even attempt to talk to Northern Tool after this fiasco. Long story short, took 6 months with no communication from them, and losing parts of my saw.

Great store with a huge selection. Was open until 7pm but now new hours are only until 6. Like most, have to work until 5:30- 6 so will have to go elsewhere to get my tools and supplies now. Bummer. Mmgt should review those hours and make adjustments accordingly.
