One Thousand Waves

What can I say, my family and I had the unfortunate luck of having to build two pools within 4 years! We built our first pool only to uncover within 1.5 years that our initial pool had alkali-silica reaction (ASR), more commonly known as concrete cancer. Long story, but we had to rip out the original vessel and start over. Given the circumstances, we were forced to replace our pool out of pocket, given pending litigation with the parties involved in the prior build was not expected to be resolved for some time and our family wanted our backyard oasis back. This provides the context for the anxiety and uneasiness we had as a family to select another pool builder and go through what was a painful process the first time even prior to the ASR issue that surfaced after the completion of the initial build. We ultimately selected One Thousand Waves and it was simply without a doubt the best decision we could have madeperiod! John, the owner, and Carlos, his project manager and right-hand man, were an absolute pleasure to work with. John and Carlos took the time to understand our needs and not only met our expectations but exceeded them. First off, Carlos was onsite overseeing the work of their subcontractors daily, this is not an exaggeration. John was onsite almost as frequently, which was in significant contrast to our prior builder who rarely came by the site and when he did it was primarily to pick up checks. The communication was exceptional, we knew how the project was progressing at all times. If there were delays, of which there were only a few, we knew in advance. If there was ever a question on quality, they immediately addressed and corrected it. Furthermore, they completed the project on budget and on time, which included complete demolition and removal of the prior vessel or pool. We are forever thankful for selecting One Thousand Waves. Their attention to detail is second to none and we couldnt be happier given the circumstances with our beautiful pool, part two . I highly recommend One Thousand Waves, particularly if you are having to endure a second rebuild due to ASR, which has impacted hundreds if not thousands of pools in central Austin. We interviewed 5 builders and we are so happy we chose One Thousand Waves. John is honest, dependable and goes above and beyond in all aspects of the building process. Our pool is beautiful and exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend One Thousand Waves.
