        unfortunately the quality of work here has gone down so much. I dropped off a pair of suedes here (not my first time doing so) and their "cleaned version" looks worse than what I dropped off. Upon bringing it up with the shop keepers, I was met with "YOU SIGNED THE BACK OF THE RECEIPT THE RISK IS ON YOU". Any attempts of the conversation were met with a shrug of shoulders... and more "not our problem" attitude. I had visited Austin shoe hospital a couple of times when they were downtown, but I guess never again. I wish I had images from the shoes before I dropped them off here to share, because now my not-so-bad suedes are not wearable anymore.

      Very unfair review. The same Cobblers are cleaning and repairing our shoes that have worked here for the last 30 + years. Our quality is definitely better now than ever before. Having said that, suede is a tough task and you never know how clean they will get or how the suede will react. This is "exactly" the reason we have you sign a "No Guarantee" clause on jobs such as this so you understand the consequences of the job at hand. Please bring the shoes back in and have the manager send them to my attention. I will evaluate them and see if anything can be done to improve the job. The manager at this location has been serving customers at Austin Shoe Hospital for over 38 years and he knows what he is talking about, but I will gladly give you a second opinion.Respectfully,Carroll KellyOwner/40 years
