Dr. Mike Brooks

had attended Dr. Brooks presentation at my kiddos elementary and found it to be very informative. Flash forward a couple of years and as a member of the PTA I was looking at who I could bring in to Lamar Middle School to do a parent workshop. (Virtually due to covid). I was really pleased that he presented a lot of up to the moment data about screen usage and its effects on teens (and adults). At the end of the presentation he presented real solutions and ideas about how families can create a more balanced approach to technology. Dr. Brooks was extremely flexible with scheduling, was prompt with communication and replies, and provided a fantastic and informative Cyberbullying presentation to our high school families. He was sure to tailor the content to our district's needs, and included the most current research in his presentation. He is a natural speaker, and the flow felt much more like a discussion than a formal presentation, which kept everyone engaged. Thank you for sharing your expertise with our community!

Dr. Brooks presented at Kealing Middle School and we were very pleased with his presentation. He is well researched and has many insights on the topic of raising balanced children in the tech age. He was approachable and did not suggest anything that was unrealistic. We had wonderful feedback from all of the attending parents and we hope to have him out again. We also appreciate that he tailored his talk to our needs. Every parent should hear this presentation!

Dr. Brooks came to our school, Small Middle School, both last year and this year to help our parents navigate the many changes our children go through during these formidable pre-teen, and early teen years. His extensive knowledge and research in this area make him an expert with adolescents, technology, social media, video games, and cyber bullying. He helped our parents and students in so many ways. We offered the documentary, Screenagers to the community, and Dr. Brooks volunteered to come in and moderate a discussion with parents and students alike. His experience in this field and his earnest compassion make him a leader in his field. We were honored to host him at our school. We will always welcome Dr. Brooks and his wealth of knowledge at Small MS.
