Blessed To Have Him As My Neurosurgeon Dr. Ashour was available within weeks after I returned from vacation with a coiled ruptured aneurysm. I was vacationing in Spain when the rupture occurred and was not sure what to expect when I returned to Austin. Dr. Ashour took time to explain next steps and answered all of my questions along the way. It helps to have a good network when you survive a rupture, that includes healthcare providers, caregivers, and support groups. His bedside exceeds all expectations. Within the first few months of meeting with Dr Ashour, I was pleasantly surprised to find that he was a guest speaker at one of my Facebook support groups. I do not know of many doctors that take this extra step to support survivors who are not their patients. During pre and post op care after my angiograms, I have heard nothing but great things from his peers and colleagues, which gives me peace of mind as I continue my life changing journey. Next up is a stent after discovering I have a residual aneurysm, again blessed to have Dr Ashour on my team.

Dr Ashour not only saved my life, he saved the quality of my life by removing a large tumor from inside my spinal cord in May of 2023. During a six hour surgery his incredible expertise and dedicated team did an amazing work to remove the tumor completely and save the nerves that are essential for most of the main functions in a human body. Breathing, walking, motor and sensory functions, digestion.:. you name it. Dr Ashour was very professional, explained everything about the surgery and the risks and was yet compassionate and kind. Everyone on his team I have been interacting with is knowledgeable and kind. I especially want to thank Dr Pham and Dr Hayakasa who were there for me during the toughest days in ICU after the surgery. I highly recommend Dr Ashour and his team. Thank you !
