My family and I really enjoyed this hotel. Our rooms had recently been updated, were clean and comfortable and well tended by the housekeeping staff, and looked out on the pretty central courtyard (some was under renovation, but the pool area was open) surrounded by arcaded walkways. There was a small outdoor garden too. The hotel is decorated with contemporary art by Texas artists, a thoughtful and unusual feature. The parking garage had plenty of room, and the staff was friendly and efficient. I had a delicious breakfast of migas from the restaurant menu (we did not try the buffet). We found the location very convenient and could avoid using the crowded interstates altogether, since the surface streets in Austin are an easier means of navigating the city.

The bathtub was not cleaned properly. The toilet made a terrible screeching sound when flushed.
The bed and pillows were exquisite.
We were told parking was free but then got charged. We made our concerns known but never heard back from management
Food & drinks: The nearby restaurants were great.
Noteworthy details: I loved the architecture of the property

Rooms are highly overpriced. You get more amenities staying at hotel 6. They do have a nice pool, but are doing major construction that overpowered the entire experience. The parking garage is nice. We were awoken by a fire in the building/restaurant. The staff was rude and unwilling to extend a late checkout, so that Everyone evacuated could pack and leave. Restaurant "Texture" is just outrageously over priced!! Overall, I think We enjoyed staying farther down the road someplace else. Won't make this mistake again!
