The room was nice, and the location was not far from The Domain. When I attempted to purchase some items from the convenience section by the front desk, the front desk person was kind of rude. Then he forgot to ring something up, since he wouldnt let me use the self-service kiosk, and he treated me like I was trying to cheat the hotel, even though it was his mistake. Then, I came back to the hotel the second night around 9:30pm. I had leftovers from dinner in a to-go box, and decided to get a drink from the hotel bar. Now, there is no restaurant to be seen in the lobby, the bar was not serving food at all, and the lobby tables are away from the bar. When I went to order my drink, the bartender very rudely told me, multiple times, that I couldnt eat my food at the tables. I told him several times that these were leftovers, and Id just had dinner, and was not going to be eating anythingbut so what if I did!?! You arent serving food, and this is a hotel! Why cant I order to-go or delivery and then choose to eat it at an actual table where I can get a drink!? I will be back to Austin many times, but I will not be staying here again. Food & drinks: Overpriced convenience items, no continental breakfast, and if there was a restaurant it was not operating, but the bar wont let you eat food at the lobby tables.

All the staff is uncomfortably rude, we had no problems, but we did see a couple of guests who had a bad time here. Personally, I don't think I'll stay here again and I wouldn't risk staying at other Hilton Gardens. If they can't standardize the quality of service at a global level, it's not worth the risk.

Really great hotel! We booked a 2 BR suite, very spacious, clean and very functional for four people. George was super helpful and accommodating!
