La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Austin Southwest

The AC did not work at all in my room. The worst sleep of my life. Hotel clerk said they couldn't switch us rooms. Just a warning for those who like to sleep with AC. If you like 75 degrees and up, then this is the place for you!

Went out for the night and returned to our room only to find out the lock was broken and we got in with just the twist of the knob. Front desk gave us another room but then knocked on our door in the morning and charged us for two rooms. As me and my wife were discussing the incident she looks next to my head on my pillow was a bed bug crawling towards my head. Front desk proceeded to say they cannot reimburse us until a pest control test has been done. We are beyond disgusted with this place and were lucky none of our belongings were stolen from the first incident. I strongly suggest you stay somewhere else, saving the extra dollar may cost you thousands later if your stuff is either stolen or you take bed bugs back to your home.

Drove there from the airport in the morning and asked the receptionist (Christa Redon) to store my luggage until check-in. The receptionist declined due to lack of storage space and advised to find a locker in town (but she also did not know where). So I had to carry my suitcase through Austin all day long. In the morning I wanted to check out but the same receptionist disappeared for over an hour leaving the janitor to watch the front desk. So I had to wait for Overall, the rooms are relatively clean (apart of the carpet floor). However, the facilities are also totally run down and the breakfast is a disgrace.

Room was fine. It advertised pillow top mattress and down/ duck feather pillows. There was definitely no pillow top mattress as it was very uncomfortable. AC seemed to cool the room then shut off until the room was almost warm then turn back on. The worst part was the second day there were no services provided! There was nothing in the room that addresses that situation. I called the front desk when we returned ( it rang like 15 times) about 6:30PM and told them our room wasnt cleaned. The man I spoke to said we dont do that anymore! If you want fresh towels you need to come to the front desk to get them! He then added this policy is thanks to the Wyndham take over! The side door said locked 24 hrs a day. The door was unlocked every time we approached it. I believe this was our worst LaQuinta stay ever!!
