Credit card was compromised and used at this store for two charges. One was $175 and the other $174.75. The employees must be corrupt if they allow someone to make charges like this. Called twice and no one picks up phone. This is sad that people are like this and they work here.

Dear 7-Eleven or Franchise Owner: The shady clerk working at about 2:00 p.m. today just lost your business about $1,000 in revenue annually. Here's why... 1) after purchasing a couple of bottled drinks (including "iced" tea) and mini donuts, I went back in the store with MY OWN CUP, and was told I would be charged 54 cents for ice in 104 weather. Ridiculous. 2) I visit 7-Elevens in the Austin area about three times per day and I estimate I spend about $20 per week at this location specifically, which is what I used to calculate your estimated loss in revenue, since I won't be back. 3) When I buy a bottled drink that has no equivalent out of the fountain, I sometimes ask for ice in my own cup. This is especially true for a bottle that is labeled "iced" tea. 4) I never asked for free ice if I am not making a purchase. 5) your cost for 1 gallon of water from the City of Austin is $0.006, less than a penny. The amount I requested in ice amounts to $0.0015. of course you must factor in electricity and equipment to make the ice so that likely adds about another $0.005. For a little over a penny, assuming you have a profit margin of at least 20%, your employee has effectively given up at least $200 that could have gone in your pocket. I understand this is highly simplified, but you get the idea. And no, I doubt very seriously that everyone in Austin would flock to the store if word got out that you could get a cup of ice for free when you make a purchase - the store is simply not that nice or convenient. I've lived in Austin and been a fan of 7-Eleven for 31 years. The first time I was charged for ice was 3 years ago. Thank you California! I would gladly take 10 immigrants from Mexico for every one Californian that has plagued this city. Just look at the burning mess of a state they created. Rather than having the courage to stay and fix their problems, they simply invaded Texas, bringing their grifter "values" in PODS containers alongside all their bed bugs and angry homeless people. Does anyone think they'll do any different when they're finished with Texas? Two stars only because the guy at the counter this morning was very nice.
