Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que (To Go Only)

The Good Ribs plate was delicious Brisket sandwich very good Baked potato right on Corn on the cob was tender and sweet Dinner side salad fresh and generous Pulled pork sandwich was pretty good The Bad When ordered in person, the meals took about 15-20 minutes to be delivered to the counter, because it is only served as take-away style. Because the food comes out of some kitchen somewhere and delivered to the order desk/counter in to go boxes inside of plastic carry out bags it is never hot and never fresh. The corn bread was more properly called corn cake. It was truly as sweet as any blueberry muffin. This is not hyperbole. I have never had tableware nor napkins nor BBQ sauce in the take out bag with any food order. Ribs without sauce? No bueno. The Ugly I have never had an order 100 percent correct. Once I got the wrong meal entirely. Once I was told (after a twenty minute wait) that my order would come out of the kitchen any minute now. When another employee checked among the bags of orders still sitting on the staging table five minutes later, they said Oh! Here is yours! This place is literally INSIDE Johnny Carinos Italian Restaurant!!! There is NO EXTERNAL SIGNAGE!!!! Google and Apple Maps can not find it!!!! It is impossible to find! I can not tell where the kitchen is, but I was told that this is a virtual restaurant. But the food is real. It would be wonderful if it was hot.

Place is terrible. I dont need to say anymore they will not stay in business. People are friendly and nice barbecue cold and old.

Famous Dave's BBQ seems to want to push the boundaries of what people generally think of as BBQ, that's not a good thing. My wife and I ordered the rib with meat special with two sides for takeout and I can honestly say the best thing about the meal was the to go boxes and plastic silverware, those forks were sturdy. The and brisket definitely seemed to have that smell of smokey goodness but when we got home and opened the to go boxes which was paper based cardboard material, way better than plastic containers and such from other restaurants, unfortunately the meal inside did not meet the standards of what I would call a decent . Save yourself your time and money and go anywhere else, Cicis pizza is a comparable meal at a better price.

Ordered a rib & meat plate and a 3 meat plate online from the Famous Daves website for a future pickup time of 5:30PM. That was my first mistake! The food was cold and not made for the set pick up time. It seemed to have been made at the order time instead of the actual future pickup time. When I asked if the food had been waiting their a long time, the staff member, said it had just been brought out which was NOT the case at all. The receipt on the food was prepared at the order time which was over 1.5 hours prior to pick up! Again this was for a FUTURE order, which was not made to order. I checked the food right in front of the staff member to be sure. The fries were soggy & cold. The salad was at room temperature at best & the croutons were soggy mush! The meat was no where near warm at all! The meat was all mixed together & not in separate containers as ordered with its appropriate sides. The cornbread was clearly a day old and hard as a rock! This is the last time that Id order from here. The only reason I had placed a future order was because I thought due to Friday night traffic & shortage in staff that I wanted to be mindful of all that. In the end for the amount of money I spent the food was nothing close to what a Famous Daves prides itself for.

So I placed an order through the website at 6:33pm. I was told that it would be delivered at 7:04pm. I started getting several texts that posed as Doordash even though I didn't order through them. By 8:30, I had no food but text messages stating the food was delivered. I called the store and the girl who answered stated that the order was picked up by and delivered by Doordash driver. I explained that no one had been by my home. I then asked to speak with the manager and he says that he had just received my order via Doordash. By this time I was confused as to why Doordash keeps coming up when I didn't order through them. The manager just kept repeating himself about getting the order 10 minutes ago. I then contacted Doordash since they were being blamed as was informed that they had nothing to do with my order (like I thought) but agreed to help figure out what was going on. I asked to cancel and have my money refunded to me since you have $50 dollars of mine and I have no food. I was told that I would receive a refund within 48 hours. A week goes by and nothing. I called the store again only to find out that my refund was not processed and the email sent regarding the refund was unanswered by whatever overseeing department. I was told a second 48 hours. Another week goes by and nothing. I tried calling a couple of numbers to speak to some in a customer service capacity...that was a joke. I sent an email which said I would hear from someone within 24 hours...we are now going on 2 weeks and nothing. I would have accepted being told to eat dirt because at least it was a reply. To date, I have have heard from nobody, they have $50 dollars of mine, and I can't review the food because it was never delivered. My next move is to have the fraud department from my credit card company to initiate an investigation to get my money back!!!
