I love comfort inn,they have a gym room,pool area,and breakfast everyday from 630-900

March 16th-24th My family and I have stayed at the Comfort Inn & Suites on South Soncy in Amarillo multiple times and have had enjoyable stays in the past. Beds are great, rooms are good, might bring your own pillows though. Elevator is old and feels as if it will drop you going up or down, so I suggest the stairs when possible. Front staff during the 8 day long stay was not very friendly, mainly watching something on the phone until you asked them for something. Major issue - On Friday, March 22nd, I took my kids to the pool. There was about 20 kids from Texline High School Track team were in the pool area without any adult supervision. They started off just sitting in the hot tub and then began to jump and cannon ball in both the hot tub and pool near other guests, including my 5 year old who was almost jumped on a few times in the pool. I went and spoke with the lady at the front desk who was watching a video/show on her phone and eating. When I told her of the kids jumping in the hot tub and the pool near other guest, she seemed annoyed and told me that they were allowed to jump into the pool all they wanted. She walked to the pool area and asked them to quite down and left. There was at least twice that someone else came to the pool area and told the kids to calm down before leaving. I assume this was a chaperone or another guest in a room near the pool area. I stayed about another 20 mins before my daughter told me that she was done because the big kids kept jumping near her and splashing her. I contacted La Shon Hersey, the General Manager for the Choice Hotels in the area, whose card was at the front desk but never received an reply on the pool issue.
