Went here for a VA C&P exam. Dr. Reed was very respectful and easy to communicate with. She made the exam process easy. Filling out the DBQs thats provided in your appointment packet prior to your exam makes the process quicker and you dont have to worry about forgetting things

Let me start by saying that I truly debated on whether or not I was going to post a review. I'm posting to one help others. If you're looking for a place to go where the doctor is present and you're not passed off to nurse practitioners or even other doctors when her name is the one that you're scheduled to see, this is not the place. I became a patient in January 2021. I finally saw HER face this past Monday and that was only because my pap smear was going awry. The nurse practitioners who were working with me before she entered the room were not gentle and did not listen to me at all. The first speculum they tried to use was too big. They changed to a smaller one but still were not gentle at all. I began to yell and cry because the pain was so bad and that's when Dr Reed decided it was appropriate to come in the room. I asked her if there's anything that could be done about the fact that this was my first time seeing her after being a patient for almost 3 years and she explained to me that because the way health care is going, she just gets any patients that are pushed her way and doesn't say no to anyone for fear of being frozen out of getting new patients at all. She simply supervises the other clinicians and doesn't treat patients herself. It's a money game. The quality of care for the patient is not put first. Do yourself a favor... do not go here unless you don't have a problem with only seeing stand-ins during your visit. Also, if you take medications of any type be prepared to be required to go in every 3 months to get refills. All about the money. There's no reason to have to continue going to see a doctor for a medication that you're used to taking. Absolutely ridiculous! I really want to root for this facility because she is an African American woman and I want to see us succeed but I just can't. Mind you, the pap smear that went awry this past Tuesday was not the first one. I had one two years ago and was brought to tears by a totally different nurse practitioner. Again, do yourself a favor and don't go here.
