Holiday Inn Express & Suites Knoxville West - Oak Ridge, an IHG Hotel

It is nice to see a Holiday Inn and Suites that actually has a suite with a pullout couch. The staff was friendly and there was parking for side by sides.

Very nice property in a convenient location. Comfortable rooms and a good buffet breakfast. Conference room and a business center. Seasonal outdoor pool. Rooms: All the up-to-date Holiday Inn Express furnishings, fridge and microwave, Keurig coffeemaker, usable desk, and plenty of plugs and outlets. Nearby activities: American Museum of Science and Energy, Oak Ridge History Museum, and the NPS visitor center (at the Children's Musem) are all convenient, and the K-25 History Center is about 10 miles away. ORNL, ORAU, the Y-19 Natl Security Complex, and numerous DOE contractors are nearby. Walkability: Oak Ridge isn't really a walkable area. There is a Shoney's diner in walking distance. Food & drinks: Nice cooked breakfast buffet at the hotel, 630a-930a weekdays, 700a-1000a weekends. Many good restaurants within a 10 minute drive. El Cantarito was so good, I ate there twice. Noteworthy details: Nice outdoor pool area, but closed for winter

The place was nice, staff was great at the desk, but they send room service to clean rooms at 7am and check out is at 11am. They knock, and if they don't hear you answer, they are in your room looking at you. Front desk said only was to prevent this was to hand a sign up on the door.

A great location if in the area for Windrock. While it's not the Four Seasons; the staff is always friendly and the rooms are clean. On the better side for pricing as well. Close to everything you need in town.
