Coldwell Banker: Sylvia Collins

I sold my home For Sale By Owner last year. I had a nice couple view the home and they let me know they had an agent they had signed with. I was offering 2% to any buyers agent and using a third party to do the paperwork at 1%. Within 15 minutes of this couple's second viewing there was a knock on my front door and in barged Sylvia Collins in her leopard print outfit and 6 inch heels. She insisted on coming in and then started poking her head into every room, including my son's, who was in bed with a cold. My wife was caught off guard with our small dog and had to hide in a back room. Sylvia then preceded to insist on her 3% stating she didn't care what I was offering that her fee was 3%. She then stated that for sale by owner should be outlawed. I printed out the home specs and handed them to her and she was out the door, confident she had made her presence known well enough to get her percentage. Real estate agents like this are exactly why I decided to sell my home myself. If not for this person it would have been a smooth and decently painless experience.

I enjoyed working with Sylvia. Trying to find the right property that fit my needs was too difficult w/out her help. You just need to know what you want and comunicate it properly. I will definitly work with her again.
