Great location friendly staff. Traveling with a pet, easy access to get outside. You can walk to everything at this location.

EDIT: After I submitted a complaint to Wyndham, the gentleman at the front desk was incredibly kind and understanding. He informed us that the owner of the property insists on posting all lives matter signs despite it being against Wyndham and Super 8 corporate policy, and multiple guests have complained. I have worked in the hotel industry myself and almost never complain about anything, but Im grateful to the kind gentleman at this Super 8 for his understanding and hospitality.
Original Review:
I was incredibly disappointed when I arrived at this hotel to see multiple all lives matter signs plastered throughout the property. This hotel is inhospitable and unsafe for POC guests. Im shocked that Super 8 and Wyndham would allow opinionated and discriminatory signage to be displayed. I booked this hotel before arriving at the property, and Im frankly angry that I am giving my money to a property that proudly displays their racism on the front door.

2nd time here. comfortable, reasonably priced and great breakfast. pool and hot tub well maintained. would definitely stay again.

My husband and I took a very impromptu trip to South Dakota to witness the annual Buffalo Roundup! Approximately 6 years ago we discovered this was a thing and we have tried every year since 2017 to attend. We had an opportunity and we seized the day and we were so glad we did! However, we learned a lot of people make reservations a year in advance and we have jobs where we're just not able to do that. I mentioned this because we stayed at a Super 8 and it was $175 for the night and for a Super 8 that is outrageous; however, as I said this was impromptu and there were no rooms available so we took what we could get. This Super 8 is located in Hill City which was the closest to Custer State Park where we needed to go to witness the roundup. There is kind of an awkward layout to this hotel. Our room was in the basement? There is a pool available, laundry, continental breakfast. There is no refrigerator or microwave in our room; which we thought is very odd. We thought that is standard nowadays especially if you utilize one of the close restaurants and bring some of your leftovers back to the room to at least refrigerate. Again, this wasn't a planned trip and this was the only room available and we took it and we were grateful to have a bed and a hot shower. If you're a family traveling for vacation, I would not recommend just a continental breakfast for your family; because it was scarce and of course, again, no microwave or refrigerator in the room. Also, no iron or ironing board if that means anything to anyone. So, for the price there wasn't much offered. I think, again, (my opinion), they knew it was Roundup weekend and could charge whatever they wanted.
