I did not know that this calibration service existed. I have had 2014 Mazda 6 with dysfunctioning rear distance radar since 2015. The dealer was honest in saying that they did not know how to recalibrate it and never did give me any hope of fixing it. But, sometimes it worked so I limped along.
Josh the owner calibrator of Carolina Calibration, looked at it and knew right off what needed to be done, body work to get the bracket fixed, some minor body damage, then replace radar and calibrate. Moreover he worked with the body shop help estimate the job. The fix was cheap enough until the cost of $2400 for the radar came through. So I gave up, but there now after market people selling kits much cheaper. I could never do that myself, but Josh makes it possible.
This is not a hole in the wall place, nice waiting room with a couple of national calibration championships on the wall. I cannot give 5 stars until he actually calibrates a radar for me, but I am still looking for an inexpensive radar to do just that.
