Sunset Rentals

Have used Sunset rentals before and been fine however we will no longer. I booked a trip on March 9 for a July 2024 11 nights trip with the family. My wife also booked another location through another site the next day. We debated which to cancel because we made the mistake to which 9 days later we cancelled with sunset. Out of the 1400$+ deposit we were refunded 900. 500$ processing fee is non refundable apparently regardless that it is 4 months away from the cancelled trip. Must be a pretty expensive admin they have as these fees are ludicrous. We were wrong to double book; they are wrong to handle this so far out. Be mindful if you have to cancel if booking with them. We wont again.

We have left 731 Schooner Court as of Saturday noon. There were several issues that we were not happy with. You are so vigilant about security with the front door to the unit, however, the back door leading to the patio would not lock. The deadbolt would not engage and was frozen in place so that door is completely unsafe and left the unit open to whomever wanted to gain entry. Also, many of your lights didn't work. There was no ice in the freezer when we arrived which isn't a must, but sure is a nice feature to have. You also did not stock any Keurig cups of coffee which, again, isn't a must but nicer landlords do provide coffee for guests. The TVs were difficult to operate and very slow to load programing on. The unit was, however, very clean, with an attractive layout and had a nice view of the waterway. Parking was a huge issue and when we returned from dinner on Friday night, was a big challenge to find. My husband noticed that several unauthorized vehicles we're using valuable parking spaces. We were afraid that with another nights stay and dinner out, we would not find any place to park. The parking issue and the security issue with the back door were simply too much for us and we will not be staying with you ever again.

My wife and I stayed at 731 schooner court. We are only staying one of the two nights we rented. Lots of problems but the main one is, the patio or back door doesnt lock but you have to have a security code to get in the front door. We just dont feel like we or our belongings are safe here. The other major problem is parking. I noticed people who are not renting here leaving in the evening and we cant even park in front of our rental or even close to it as far as that matters. Were afraid to go out to eat again at night out of concern that we may not have a place to park at all when we come back. This is where we would be parked but yet our BMW is parked way on the other side of the parking lot. In all honesty the place was clean. I did like that they have RO water, Im not sure if the filters are up to date or not. But we couldnt handle another night without good sleep. Being as we only live 2 hours away we decided to leave HHI one day early.
